FlossTube - WinStitch Tutorial!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I run the facebook page Cross Stitch Unlimited, and probably the number one question asked is 'how can I make my own chart?' Here I give a quick demonstration of Winstitch. I am not affiliated, and do not profit off cross stitch in any way. It is just my hobby and I like to help people find inexpensive ways to stitch :) Any questions or comments feel free to leave them here or contact me on facebook through Cross Stitch Unlimited.

This was a huge help. I make digital drawings on procreate. Have you had much experience with smaller designs on this programme or is it only for full coverage? Thanks

I am trying to convert my nature photos in Winstitch and am getting a lot of banding. Is there a fix for this? Or do I need to version that allows me to chose the advanced option.

Hi. I'm looking at getting Winstitch to make some patterns for the wife. Regarding your question: As far as I'm aware decide on the count of your fabric, i.e. 14 count. As you'll already know that is 14 stitches to the inch. Decide how big you want the finished stitched work to be, i.e 8" along the short side. Multiply 8 by 14 = 112. that would be the pixel size (on the short side) of the image you need to import. Most image manipulating programs allow you to keep the ratio, so the long side would automatically change too. I hope that makes sense. I apologise if it doesn't. Any questions, just ask away.
