Florida Baseball and Georgia Baseball played the rubber match of their weekend series which closed out the 2024 College Baseball regular season. Florida needed a win to get to 13 conference wins on the season, which is essentially the cutoff mark for an SEC team hoping to get an NCAA tournament at large bid.

One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I've adopted two different styles, one with logos on the left and a game snapshot on the right, and the other with the logos in the middle and game snapshots representing both teams on either side.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

Gators went thru almost as many pitchers as the Bulldogs did. Luckily Gators had a better bullpen, At least this time.

Bro what we just scored 19 runs vs the number 9# seed yes we are barely over 500. But we are a good team when we can get in a rhythm look at the CWS vs LSU we scored a bunch!.

They just took the #9 team in the nation down on the road. Georgia also was on a 7 game winning streak in conference play before this series

Lately? Just when did you start watching Fla? Their problems began on the first game of the year. . which they lost . .and have continued right through the last game,. A win over Ga. They can't p;itch. With a chance to close out the game on a 10 run rule, the Gators did what they do best. . .blow leads. Or give up runs. It's been THE most enigmatic team in Kevin O'Sullivan's career. Losing Sproat and Waldrep from last years team of 54 wins was too much for young Gator arms to overcome. They lost NINE gmes by ONE run. Three others by TWO runs. They were one strike and one hit away from sweeping Ky. They should have won the series against Ark in Fayettevile. .But, as usual, the pitching let them down. They lost three straight against last place Missouri. . all by one run Not to say the bats were solid all year. They lead the conference in strikeouts. . averaging 10 per game. Yet, they'll make the Dance. They won't go far but NOBODY in ANY bracket will look forward to playing the Gators. They're just dangerous enough to ruin somebody's parade. Last years team was magical. This year. . .well, pay to see Jac. Caglione. He's been a joy to watch.

Florida has it's problems, but they've also been playing the toughest schedule in the country. The last four weeks have been versus #3 Arkansas, #1 Tennessee, #2 Kentucky, and #9 Georgia. While the Gators only went 5-7 against those opponents, they were very competitive in most of those losses.
Oh sweet, so now they'll put Florida in with a 28-26 record... seems fair
