Prior to installing the floor coating, the existing flooring had to be removed. The existing flooring comprised of carpet squares and vinyl. The flooring itself was removed in only a couple hours. Underneath of the flooring was a thick layer of adhesive at around 1/8" thick. We were able to remove all of the adhesive with multiple passes from our grinding equipment, returning the surface back to bare concrete and allowing the best surface to apply the coating over.
