---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tucked away in an obscure village of Telangana is the 800-year old Ramappa temple which was inscripted as the 39th World Heritage Site in India by UNESCO. But, what’s so unique about this ancient medieval temple that helped it set its place on the world heritage map? It is built using bricks which can float on water and has such delicate carvings that let even a thread pass through it. ThePrint’s Rishika Sadam takes you to the temple to show its exquisite craftsmanship and how it took 10 years of efforts to bag this world heritage title.

Untiring Efforts made by Kakatiya heritage trust under Prof Pandu Ranga Rao have made this status possible. Hope this place and Great Kakatiya heritage , sand box technology of construction will get world recognised. One more great irrigation aspect of Kakatiya rulers is Golusu Kattu Cheruvulu” (chain of smaller water tanks). If one tank is filled, then surplus water flows to next major water tank. Massive water bodies such as Ramappa, Pakala, Laknavaram, Ghanapuram, Bayyaram are still serving for irrigation in that area 🙏

For the South Indians , Hindu religion which is described in modern terminology is not like what it to other people of the world but it is their tradition and culture uninterruptedly followed for a long time even in adverse conditions as such it is their soul which they could not leave , else, they will die as soul leaves the body! Dont worry about those dirty minuscule politicians who are living for money and will be destroyed with their generations and evil missionaries who are going to perish!

Very important word used by Pandu Ranga Rao. Differential settlement. A key word which is known to those who belong to civil engineering field. Would really love to know more about sandbox technology. There is one extra ingredient used along with sand in that box which is only to known to ancients. Would really love to know from those who hails from the same region and who's grandparents are still alive and it would be really great to listen from them that this was the extra ingredient Along with sand. These things travel mouth to mouth from one generation to other. Also japanese use the analogous technology now a days to prevent the tall structures from earth quakes. Like they use the hydraulic jacks which will absorb the devastating earthquake waves especially the s-wave and love waves. Modern infrastructure uses huge damps to dampen the seismic waves. The cementing material is also important which holds the large stones together. the forts built in Maharashtra in the sea like murud janjira or Sindhudurg, the locals say that there were three ingredients which made these structures so strong that even 700 years Of continuous hammering of tides has not been able to take off the cement yet. The ingredients were lime, crushed powder of shells found in coastal regions and also jaggery was the key ingredient as per some myths. If anyone can tell me about the sandbox technology and cementing material will add more to knowledge. Thanks to those who read till this point.

Every stone, soil, tree, water, fire and air are worshipped as PANCHA BHUTAS by hindus of this land.without them there is no exisrence on this earth. Every thing is historical and mystical in bharat which foreigners have no language to pronounce, which a common man knows in bharat. That is bharats greatness. 🙏 Kmk Mudiraj, rtd tahsildar, chittoor.
