Monty is a brilliant fishing dog. So well behaved.

I could watch this guy fish all day.....no nonsense this is how its supposed to be done,brilliant.

Terrific effort, a real pleasure to watch. No gimmicks, no forced humour, or hooping and hollering, just about perfect. If this doesn't inspire you to get down to the river, nothing will.

Personally I don't mind fishing commercials but a video like this just shows why a comm. can never compare with a brilliant natural venue.

Each to his/her own Fred. Fishing is just the best thing whatever way it's undertaken. There is perhaps a greater sense of accomplishment when fishing a river and finding success I feel. Chappy

Brilliant video, never fished the wye myself but it looks A1, love monty in the videos as a lab man myself, the rods action really stands out to the extent that I just ordered a CR10 11ft with a CS7 reel. Keep em coming they're addictive viewing.

Hi that was such an enjoyable video. The river was at its most stunning with the weed in flower and the fish feeding well and fighting hard. James looked like he was really enjoying himself and Ian captured the fight beautifully as well as the atmosphere of the river and the surroundings. Just makes me wish I could travel to the beautiful Wye valley. Tight Lines

Afternoon James, love watching all the videos you produce. Always very informative and well as entertaining. I was just wondering in the case of this video why you would not use a centrepin reel to enable you to control the float through the swim. I am a little bias as I use pins as much as I can get away with.

Fantastic video James. I am definitely gonna be stick fishing when the rivers open again, even though my local rivers don't run anywhere near as fast. At 53 I've been ledgering too long which is fine but there are so many other methods to try again. Thanks for helping me to see again. Jeremy.

I know, I'll wait for it to get some water in and flush all the silkweed away...its the same every year, usually have to wait till September for it to be really right...but you still get the odd fish out earlier in the season. Really enjoy the videos, very informative, too...how can you not want to go fishing after viewing them?

Another great video, many thanks James. At some point in the future, would you be able to demonstrate fishing a large speci waggler on fast, shallowish swims of Rivers such as the Severn with the meat as bait. I've heard it's been a killer method just lately but not seen it done.

I have a hard time paying attention to anything outside of your Labrador. Sweet dog.

What I like about Cadence, it's mostly wild fishing, not this guaranteed carp puddle style of fishing. How clever can it be fishing a 1/4 acre lake stuffed full of hungry fish. This style of fishing James does has no guarantee of success, like the late John Wilson did. Keep it up guys, love float fishing its the place we all started.

@CadenceFishingUK I might not get a response. Here recognising the age of the video. What shot are you using please on your line? Just watching you adjust the shooting patterns moving them up or down your line. I personally don't either find that is possible as shot are too tight to adjust or I don't like to rush damaging the line? Thanks j

Thanks Mathew. We do try our very best to indicate the venues we use in the videos, however in this instance the owner of the stretch asked that it renamed unspecified. I hope you can respect his wishes as we did. It's close to Hereford, as are many other equally wonderful and accessible spots. Just drop into Woody's shop and he'll always try to put you on fish. Cheers.

James, is this section in Hereford on Day ticket. We spoke at the big show re the tennis courts section video. I am due to go mid August so would love to catch on the stick other than the feeder.

Can I ask what rod and tip - if it's a feeder?

I would of been happy with my usual white bait sized roach and dace.

Perhaps half an hour with a bait dropper down the swim before you started perhaps? Just a thought.
