There’s a thin line between “dated” and “nostalgic” and to me they are indeed the latter . I think this sounds fantastic and I love the fact that they are sticking to the 90s R&B guns! This makes them very unique. They’re making great use of their voices and delivering real R&B music for a change . I am very excited for their album.

The songs are not the problem… it’s extremely difficult for overseas artists to break into the American market. What they need is a great team to work on promotion for them and not just any team, an American team.

The songs are the problem nothing has charted at all ( island Records Uk) wants a return on their investment pl don’t make excuses for those music producers there is nothing wrong with sampling a old school song to get a hit record prefect example is the girl group Xscape their 1st song was sampled from a old school song smash out the gate #1 on billboard R&B charts because the music producer jerimane Dupri didn’t care about the publishing split just a hit record after that they followed with original songs which were # 1s as well on billboard R&B charts those songs they have put out are mid level songs at best they need tracks that will crossover ( not just to be played in the UK) MNEK want sample because the publishing split again 3 + years nothing!!! with that said it’s the songs to many people not having the girls best interest in hand all they see and care about is the money!!! Which is hurting them overall that’s plain to see POWERFUL VOCALS but not the right tracks ( I got two sample in mind if anyone of the music producers they worked with sample them ) #1s

@@markgraham6243 Respectfully, you’re talking out of your ass. Sampling is so overdone and if you haven’t noticed, music consumers rarely react positively to sampling. Not to mention the way that music is consumed NOW and back then is completely different… They’ll have their break out hit in due time and it will be organic. They’ve literally debut during a time where Beyoncé made her comeback, Drake did a big release as well as Taylor Swift, timing is important and I trust that whoever they’re working with knows what they’re doing.

No it’s not hard for them to break here ( I don’t buy that what so ever) well if that’s the case they need to make a song that relates to their American fans base along with the UK fan base you can’t put Missy ( fly girl song) on a mid level song Island Records mostly likely paid a lot of money for that feature ( which will be added to the money they have to pay back)
