Hi Laura 👋 I hope my comment didn't sound as a form of privacy invasion your comment tells of a wonderful woman with a beautiful heart which led me to comment I don't normally write in the comment section but I think you deserve this complement. If you don’t mind can we be friends? Thanks God bless you….🌹🌹🌹🌹
I liked both but I have to say I absolutely love how the vase turned out. Funny enough, when you started, I thought the lamp was going to be my favourite. Well done! I would love to see you do more items like this once and awhile. I adore the furniture, but seeing how to do. Accessories to is a nice addition.

I loved all three pieces but the lamp was my fave. Never thought to use cornstarch or spices to add texture and color. Really inspired!

Cool, fun and easy hacks----like you I don't seem to be in a furniture flip mode at present. Am sure you gave many people some much-needed inspo during these dreary winter months.

I’ve done similar projects. It’s fun to add the texture and then highlight/ lowlights. I also use ground coffee.
Holy moly Katie! These look so authentic, that they look like they’re too heavy to pick up! As always……more of your impeccable artistically applied skills making something beautiful!
Beautiful job! Loved the canvases especially!!! All look high end!
The pink vase and the canvas are my favorite I love watching you
I adore the green lamp with the cinnamon spots! All the pieces are beautiful! Again, thanks for charing! Can't wait to try your technique and tips!

Love that vase! And, yes, I will be doing some experimental, creative, art therapy (?) projects . Inspired by you. Thank you for sharing.
Super cool update to outdated decor! Really like them both! I did this technique to my old bean pot lamp set (purchased in 1987). Now I’m using them in master bedroom as “Aged Vessel Lamps”!
The Vase is my favorite but I do find the process you did on both inspiring. Thank you for sharing. ♥️♥️

I love all of these flips. I love the look of concrete on the vase. Great idea for use baking soda over the paint for the concrete look. The lamp turned out amazing. Who would've ever thought that combining cinnamon and cloves to create a rustic look would turn out looking so great. Thanks Katie for the great makeovers and new techniques to revamp a plain piece into something unique.

What a fun video with some very creative thrift-flip up-cycles. I think I like the lamp best.
Love the vases. I have a shiny reddish vase that I’ve painted twice and moved with me to my new house. It’s a great vase and I love its shape and versatility. Of course, it needs a redo to fit in. I’m going to try your spackle technique so I can use it here. I’m avoiding the landfill and saving on my decorating budget. I have to wait until spring as I don’t have any indoor space to do this-Wisconsin winter.
I’m sure these techniques will be very useful for a lot of different projects. Thank you for this clear and easy to follow demonstration.
I liked both of your creations....The vase especially as how many times do we walk past neon colored vases at Thrift stores or Goodwill and think "love the shape, but the color...ah no!" You have added a whole new level to the profession of upcycling furniture and accessories.

Awesome!! Love the added cornstarch to the gray vase!! Really added dimension and made it look so cool!!
Some people try this and it just looks fake. Then you do it and it look amazing and real. Good job.
Love the vase! Great idea with the corn starch.
Katie, what a great video. The concrete vase really drew my attention. Now I’m taking a second look at the plastic mannequin I found in a dumpster behind a woman’s clothing store, brought it home, decoupaged it, and hung it up in my home office. Now I’m wondering how it would look concrete-ized?! Thanks for reminding us how looking at life through an eye of possibilities is exciting and wondrous. ♥️
That cornstarch is magical. What a great thing to do to break up a mass of a single colour. I sure wish I had room in my studio to do some furniture but I guess I need to concentrate on the decor items instead. The vase and lamp were amazing and one thing that is easy to find at my favourite thrift store.
Both are wonderful! If I must, I pick the vase. While you were working, I imagined a horizontal blue gradient (with dark blue on the bottom). I look forward to the next one!

Liked them both, vase is my favorite! Love the cool jazz played with the video! 😎
I’m so happy to see you create these beautiful pieces Katie!
The vase is my absolute favourite, but love all of them.
Fun and fascinating! I was esp surprised by how the final step of the lamp came out with the paint over the spice mix! This was a fun departure from your flipping. Hope you enjoyed it too!
Just this week I bought 2 square canvases at a thrift store. Thanks for the inspiration. I’m going to try spacing them.

I’m trying to wrap my head around these new design ideas. They look very nice, I like the lamp more than the vase. So glad you’re showing us how to use paint on other stuff. By the way, my husband made a beautiful open cabinet for my china and other stuff. He stained the outside to match our dining table, and the inside to mimic blonde wood. We found a mirror at our local Salvation Army thrift store that was the perfect size. I wish I could share a photo of it with you, alas. Take my word, it came out beautiful!
They both look so cool!!! Great job!!
That case 😍 So creative and inspiring!!!
Super cool and creative! Thank you for sharing
Love this Katie !! Not gonna lie the cinnamon made me nervous but when you dry brushed over it I was like man she is genious!!
Loved each transformation !!!!

Wonderful! I’ve tried doing some vases and they’re getting better with each attempt. I’d love to try to create some art!! Thanks for the inspiration and instructions.
great idea to create the texture. thanks for sharing it.
You are fantastic! Truly an artist :)
Love the lamp & urn. I’ve been using cinnamon for a rust effect and it works better than any thing I have found. I’ll have to try this technique on some of my garden urns and boxes. Spring is coming!
Just loved the lamp!
Great video loved both!
All are fabulous well done
