FLIP THROUGH Victorian Lady’s Handbook Junk Journal

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This video has certainly been a long time coming! Life got in the way of KZread for a while but I am back now guys! I plan to have a new video for you every week at least! Just have to remember how everything works!
So this is a ledger style journal from the Nik the Booksmith course. See her video here for more info • The Scholar's Ledger a...
I love her courses. They saved me a bunch of time trying to figure it all out for myself ha ha!
I have used a few of the fabric pieces I got in a fabric bundle from Sheila at Bohodaydreams. Be sure to check out her channel • Beautiful textiles wra... for more info on those because they are gorgeous and well worth it because you get the variety that you might not have before you have built your own stash.
There are a lot of Tim Holtz papers in this one again because I love love love them! Also plenty of tea dyed paper, coffee dyed paper and vintage fabrics and laces along with pretty scraps and thrift store finds. It has a curved spine with hidden binding and hard wood (masonite) covers.
So what got in the way?? Well we moved house firstly! This was very exciting as I ended up with a bigger craft room. Yee ha! Then our daughter moved back home with our first grandchild on the way. It's been a incredible time and we are very blessed but boy it's been time consuming ha ha! My beautiful grandson is now 9 months old and they have moved into their own place. So now it's time to turn my dream of my own KZread channel into a thing! I hope you join me in my journey!
Please subscribe and give me a thumbs up. It really helps my little channel to grow!

I love everything about this journal. And I agree. I do not shop Ali express for that very reason. My friend Jen who is dreamzetc has had her artwork stolen numerous times. Thank you for being so upfront and honest. And thank you for the mention. I appreciate it

I loved your journal. I'm a wannabee JJ maker - have watched numerous videos and collected masses of stuff, but not actually taken the plunge yet. It was a pleasant change to hear you give credit to others, if you had used their ideas and also that you broached the subject of the copyright violations on so many of those cheap sites selling out of the Far East. I have subscribed to your channel and will look for your other videos.

I have loved listening and watching this today. I think it is wonderful to use the old photo’s. These people are being loved and cared for in our journals. How special is that. I would love to do Nik’s book binding course. I was cutting out mini books to make. I first got some from Nik. There is even a video on my youtube. She got me hooked lol. Looking forward to seeing more video’s. Hugs xxx

What a truly delightful project. A surprising hidden gem discovered after every page turn. I am blown away by the way you seem to have effortlessly known the perfect addition for each page and still left room for journaling!!! You are a true artist, I think it may be the best junk journal I have ever seen. I loved the way you did this video and your honesty was such a breath of fresh air. Did this demo take 25 minutes? It only seemed like 2 ....., over much too soon. Really looking forward to more videos like this. Loved the period photos...perfect for this journal and where they were added. Thank you so much. 🏆 🎈

Beautiful journal! I’m not a fan of glossy papers and ephemera.... covering them in matte medium knocks it back and helps it look and feel more vintage. Sam ❤️

Love your journal really love the colours. I agree with leaving some of the pages blank as those papers are gorgeous. Yes I've only learnt about the theft of art designs. I was scrolling through etsy and saw Edith Holden diary tags for sale. My understanding is you can't sell because of copyright. I recently bought the diary of an Edwardian lady. If i use it in a journal, it will be for myself. Thanks for sharing...xxx

Thank you so much! I could be wrong but I am pretty sure you can use book pages as part of the journal but just not copy to mass produce. Eg if I use a Edith Holden page as a journal page or collage with it it’s ok. But I wouldn’t be able to copy any part of that page to mass produce or make digi kits.
