Your flesh is natural/normal to you. Yielding to the Spirit is not natural to our flesh. Yielding to the spirit is going to take you out of your comfort zone, it won't be easy but it's a must.

Thank you for sharing. Pride is a judgement that makes you think you are either above somebody or below somebody. Meaning, no matter how you judge them, you will resent them because "she got better shoes that you" or "her shoes are wack compared to mine" All judgements create position, above or below your subject (even if its you comparing yourself to your highest self) and this position, creates resenment because you will either be made to feel inferior or superior, both create resentment. What is the opposite of judgement? Humility. Humility is the absense of thought, so instead of judging, you simply experience things as they are. Not as you wish them to be (judgement). Which always creates resenment (anger), which comes from a judgement (opinion) of a subject (anyone or anything) that by inferiority or superiority creates resentment either way. So do yourself a favor.... Stop thinking... Stop judging... Stop wanting things to be different... Dont let your mind compare things... It will use the comparison to rob you of your joy and with 6 core feelings: Joy Sadness Anger Disgust Fear Surprise The other 5 are anything but joy... Stop thinking in terms of opinions and judgements, that through resenment cause anger, and stop judging or having opinions so that by accepting things as they are (not superior or inferior to you), you can simply accept them and therefore, naturally, feel more joy. Which is the only happy feeling of the 6 main ones. In it, is all the virtues of God. God bless you.

We live in generational blessings not generational curses because God is our source. I pray every person listening, seeking for peace and answers will recieve the blessing of a closer walk with God. This sermon is several years old. It was what I needed to hear. The comment that you don't need the law, made every thing so clear. I just endured a messy divorce after 31 years of marriage. My spouses sin nature (adultry, lying and manipulation)is leading to death as his health has declined steadily. #Amazing# soooo enlightening.

I had abandoned this series but God sent me back here today. Exactly what I am needing to hear at this very moment! I have been battling to let go and forgive a few people in my church who hurt me with their words weeks ago and something happened today that brought all those feelings of hurt and anger back when I thought I could just "let it pass." I need self-control over idolizing and continuously playing back in my mind moments of the past that are unpleasant. I always do this and find my whole day ruined and my mood is just off. May God impart in me the heart to release and forgive and to minister peace over these areas. (Edit: And I feel like I just wrote a whole thesis and to whoever who is still reading this I am sorry my day has been rough and I just needed to admit to this and get it off my chest. Goddam!... One of the best explanations of free will that I have heard 22:50, Love listening to him! Getting so much out of this series that I stumbled onto the other night. No accident!!

The way God uses you has blessed me so much. May God continue to bless your ministry as well as your family. I believe so Many people need Pastor Mikes way of preaching out there. I was hurt by so many religious churches and i understand they are just people and its not them but there sinful nature but i did not see God as love but as a harsh disciplinarian and if I did not do everything perfect in other words be like Jesus Christ exactly I was going to go to hell and that made me feel like I would never be able to live up to that. But now I have such a great relationship with God and I know God intimately through his word which has made me see that it wasn't the people in those churches they were very similar to the Pharisees but I forgive them all and I pray that God opens their eyes and such as their heart so that they can see that they are pushing people away and God would never put any of us away. In his word he tells us to come as we are but a lot of churches I went to pretty much said I had to clean my act up before I could attend or become a member and obviously I will always fall short of the glory of God.
