Этот звук !!! С первых нот возвращает меня в 6 лет в 90е, когда родители достали гдето магнитофон и две кассеты с драконами и королём львом

Аж плакать хочется. Любимый мультфильм детства.

До сих пор помню его. Был одним из самых любимых в детстве. Засматривала до дыр в 4-6 лет.На этой же кассете был Король лев. А потом кассета пропала куда то. Уже взрослым брат признался что записал на нее свою любимую Формулу 1. Снова нашла этот мульт только уже студенткой. Вот это был взрыв ностальгии)))

I was born in 1999, but this cartoon of 80's is so amazing!!! It's so EPICAL!!!

Born 79 this was absolute classic of my childhood nostalgia

Great Movie. It was based off of two books by two different authors. One of which was; The Dragon and the George. By Gordon R. Dickson. And it was the first book of a series called; The Dragon Knight Series... which is one of my favorite series of all time. Unfortunately Gordon R. Dickson died in 2001 leaving the series open ended... *sigh*

I first see the movie and years before read the book not knowing about the relationship it was a great surprise. The next one doesn´t like me too much, but it was a good book too

Still brings a tear to my eye

Wow! What a nice song, especially when it was sung by Mr American pie himself, Don McLean. I wish I could see this movie. Even though I've never seen it before, I could tell it was a Rankin/Bass Production. The animation is very recognizable.

loved this movie....back in the days great story telling .went to the public library hire out the book for a week.

I watch this movie when i was 6 yrs old, till now im 42, i love this movie especialy the intro song FLIGHT OF DRAGONS

Our English teacher made us watch this in highschool. I've been trying to remember the name for years!

Glad I looked for this movie. I had this movie as a child, it felt almost esoteric in ways. Old but timeless. Well... Not timeless. It looks like crap from a technical standpoint. But its aesthetic is gold in my opinion. Tolkien-esque but with a little something bizzare and out of this world that Tolkien didn't really have. Perhaps it was this song?

Growing up in the 80's my Dad owned a VHS store and The Flight of Dragons to this day is still my favorite animation of all time. Other movies i liked include Bravestarr the movie, Starchaser: Legend of Orin, Fire and Ice, Secret of NIMH, The Black Cauldron and i'll throw in the Plague Dogs for giving me recurring nightmares n'all.

I really loved this movie as a kid, and would love to see it remade. The very theme, that the age of magic is coming to an end, because it literally can't withstand the force of logic and science is a great story to tell. Especially delving further into the reason why Magic had to depart out of reach, for as wonderous as it was, how dangerous it could still be. Haven't seen it done well since that movie Merlin. Also some of the older White Wolf RPG books. Mage: The Ascension and Changeling: The Dreaming.

Holy shit its so much better than I remembered

I certainly enjoyed this feature much more then most of the animated features made nowadays! While I felt THE HOBBIT and RETURN OF THE KING from Rankin Bass are better then FLIGHT OF DRAGONS I still found this version of Dickenson's book an entertaining version. Viewers of this video might enjoy my hand drawn animated video that I made, THE MAGIC ARROWS. It has an evil dragon named Precious in it! There are also BALDER'S EGG, THE COLOSSEUM, and THE BLACK WIDOW on my channel page on you tube!

If a woman's heart can be as deep as the ocean, a dragon's soul can be as endless as the universe. Maybe one day, we will be permitted to start over with these majestic creatures and fully appreciate them. Hints have abounded before recorded history of their benevolent sides. A "house dragon" sounds perfectly wonderful to me.

This story must have been someone's dnd campaign, must be.

Is this as good as Last Unicorn? Someone brought it up on a Last Unicorn video and unicorns are neat and everything but I love dragons more than anything.💜🐉🤗🐲💜

I assume there was something happening that involved all dragons, regardless of who they were. Maybe a mating dance like Smrgol mentioned later in the movie.

It is made to fit the scientific explanation for their ability to fly, so I see why they did it.
