This part of the story in Amazon’s show was absolute garbage just like the rest of the show compared to this faithful fan made actual adaptation.

Excellent fan film. Great attention to WoT world building. I love how Loial signed the book at the end of the credits. A big thank you to the group that put this together.

Think what they could do with a zero added to the budget. Its amazing how Amazon manages to do all the wrong things (except mayby the Trollocks and the look of the architecture of Shadar Logoth).

Oh, if only I could believe the upcoming show will end up being as good as this fanvid. I come back here and watch it every now and then, and every time, I'm sad because it's just a vid and not a series.

Yes! I can't stand what was done with the fades! They could never be mistaken for human, and the books makes a point of that being possible without seeing there face.

Funny seeing all the recent comments about how much better this adaptation is than the $90 million series from Amazon. It really is cathartic. This was very well done! Awesome effort and I can’t believe you succeeded actually adapting this part of the story on obviously a slim budget but Amazon with all it’s millions and even Brandon Sanderson consulting couldn’t make something even half as good or respectful to the source material.

No. They ignored Sanderson's advice due "views and style differences". All ended up in the cringeworthy and docile "let's agree to disagree" Bs.

Yes we all visualise the books differently, but you know what , this was great fun and whets the appetite

A very decent effort. Way better than Winter Dragon. How the hell is a fan film better than something made by an actual TV channel?!

I think because these people were probably passionate about it, while the other one was just created solely to "keep the rights" or some other legal mumbo jumbo if I remember correctly. I think they probably wanted it to be so bad that it was never even considered as anything serious, ie, the less people that saw it the better..

@Rich Edkins And, think about how good this was, and having it be a fan film! A small, shabby crew of book fans came along and decided to have a side project for a series they thought was good. And yet, this is still AMAZING!! Just think about that, for a moment. Can you imagine how amazing everything will look, the cities, the shadowspawn, the one power, DUMAI'S WELLS, when this show has millions upon millions of dollars for budget, an experienced, vast and talented cast and crew, the best that money can buy.... I'm just so excited!! It's going to be so amazing!!

I really did enjoy this production. It kept me rivetted and it's one of my favorite parts of the book. The dialogue and interactions are very well done though the opening with the black ajah was overacted. I like how they bring elements in that did not occur until later books such as the dice effects and Matt 's gambleIling. I wish these producers had made more episodes I definitely would have watched them.

This is hundred times better than the adaptation despite having hundred times less budget.i mean the cinematography shooting places the vibes of the town everything! This feels like the wot world this is when real fan adapt the work when people who are true to the lore when adapting

Wow, very impressive for a fan production. Applaud to all involved.

Well I grant you I never read all the way through the WoT books, but on it's own merits this was a quality production. If it was on Kickstarter now, I'd glady contribute as much as I could. Good acting, very good sets and storytelling, as well as good costumes and effects - this is a 4+ star (out of 5) production at least. Thank you to all the people that worked on it and those who helped finance it to entertain us, you're all awesome!

Honestly... This is proof of the possibilities of adaptation. I would rank this fan film better than any of their episodes. Budget doesn't make story-telling.

I don't have a lot of faith in how good Amazon's is going to be. Not crazy about the casting, and the interviews they've had with showrunners aren't filling me with confidence. I'd rather see THIS as a series than what I think's going to be coming out of Amazon. The casting in this vid are spot on, and I love the feel of it. It feels like the books.

Proof independent films are way better then what big studio could do.

Rafes isn't fan fiction, its an abomination. I honestly saw nothing in the show that communicates to me Rafe cared at all about WOT. It feels like someone half ass read the spark notes of the books while hammered, slacked off for a month, then wrote a script he wanted to write based on the little he remembered from the drunken night a month ago.

This was really well done.

Cleansing myself from the residues of Amatrash adaptation. Note how this is received positively even though it has minor errors like Rand not being tall. That's how Faithfulness in spirit is appreciated, Show shills.

A LOT of work went in to this. Well done.

The feel of this episode felt very true to the books, in general. I especially like the intro with the Faceless One & a cocky Red Sister. If I knew more Wheel of Time fanatics, I would recommend this to each and every one!

Watched this after watching Winter Dragon and I was pleasantly surprised since it was accurate and well presented, not to mention it was done 5 years ago and is much better than the former. The actors were overall decent with 1 or two good ones and Shaidar Haran(Myddrall) made me laugh instead of inspiring fear, but with more funding and professionalism all the mistakes could be easily fixed. It feels like the team behind this video would be better suited to guide the possible TV show in the right direction.
