Thanks for posting. Our clinic just went through FEES training fro 3 days....can't wait to start. BTW, glad you used gloves (as you always should)....the SLP and ENT in the FEES video from the Mayo Clinic should view your video to learn how to wear gloves when handling the device.
Ein sehr gutes Video.Es nimmt mir die Angst vor der bevorstehenenden Schluckprüfung.
Love this
Das Video hat mir sehr geholfen meine Angst vor der Untersuchung zu nehmen!
this product is ATMOS scope with stroboscoe from ATMOS medizintecnik Germany right?
Wow!
was wondering how this flexible endoscope is sterilised in between patients as that would likely require quite a few endoscopes for each day. Is it ok to just wipe it with some special solution on a soft cloth. Also with numbing gel or spray is it still normally used on a 4 year old? Just trying to get some information about the procedure as a parent. Thanks very much.

it's definitely sterilized between patients, as most hospitals or clinics have to follow a strict cleaning protocol/checklist. As for numbing for a child, i'm not sure (as i was just recently certified for adults) but i would guess it's a possibility, especially if you go to a clinic, like an ENT clinic.
Doctor, is it possible to see inside the maxillary sinus with a thin flexible endoscope? Thanks.

No , CT scan is the method of choice … the osteometal complex which drains the sinus is well hidden and can only be widened and exposed during surgery

1:06 did i see a glowing dot???

The white out happens because the velum, the tongue base, and the pharyngeal constrictors are all contracting at the same time to propel the bolus (liquid or food) through the pharynx (throat). When the muscles are squeezing against each other, there is white out because pharyngeal constriction blocks the view of the scope's lens. When the muscles stop contracting, the pharynx is open and visible.

@@TheSingingVocologist A quick question....when the view of the scope lens are blocked (when the muscles are squeezing against each other), how could we tell if the bolus falls into the trachea, especially when the case has silence aspiration?
@corinnamorgenfurt4159

@@chadchen3968 that's why the food is colored, so that you can see any kind of leftovers on the vocal chords or in the trachea
Does that hurt ?

it doesn't bother some people other than a little unusual feeling or a little pressure.. some find it a bit uncomfortable though. it just depends on your anatomy honestly, and everyone is so different.
