Loved this on kiln house album in 1970
Play it Danny. FM died the day they fired Danny Kirwan. Saw em get booed off the stage one year later without him and his wonderful songs R.I.P. Danny Kirwan R.I.P. Peter Green

Unsaid above is that Danny had flipped his lid by then, and there was very good reason for firing him. Mick is one of the nicest guys in the world, but enough was enough. When one of your bandmates boos and harasses you while you are on stage playiing and he is not, plus a bunch of other reasons, Kirwan had to go.

@kenhabeeb no doubt a difficult situation. I think however Mick and John probably shared some responsibility introducing and/or encouraging heavy alcohol consumption on to Danny. I was close to his age during that time and have many memories of friends my senior that encouraged and even supplied intoxicants. That was a unique time for sure, but there was a naivety when it came to the effects of alcohol and drugs on the developing brain. Bottom line he wasn’t mature enough to be exposed to all that. Sad because he was an inspired musical genius that crashed way too soon. Grateful for the time he was around and the beautiful music he created.
Such a lot of song from so few lyrics! Blistering guitar by Danny Kirwan.
Killer! Never heard this version. Kirwan was a monster guitarist.

Yes, and didn't here one note by BW. Danny played all this wonderful guitar and Christine backed him up with great electric piano. BW was never needed in Fleetwood Mac. There, I said lt.

But Mick was obsessed with guitar and wanting more. The British blues scene was competitive. Moody Blues was considered tops in Britain. They could write songs and they had that Mellotron. Mick thought guitar and song writing were the key. You are write about Christine but John sabotaged her songs do she couldn’t come to the forefront. John didn’t want to write songs.

I think so too.
I saw them in Chicago during the Kiln House era! Awesome. The show ended with Mick's drum solo. It was really cool. The spotlight kept getting smaller and smaller as Mick played on fewer and fewer drums. At the end he was just playing all on this tiny splash cymbal, and the spotlight was just about two feet across, then he just hit it hard, and the spot turned off, and that was it!
well played, very well played
wow. what a jam.........
Just great! RIP Danny and Bob.
Had the opportunity to see them on LI, early 70s...amazing rock & roll band.
