"The Chain" is the Fleetwood Mac song that builds and has the mother of all pay offs! IMO it is the best track they ever composed/recorded. No one is going to object to you reacting to another Mac track.

Agree, it's my favorite. Especially the live 1982 version. Like Stevie and Lindsay are fighting vocally.. So damn good..

The Chain may be the definitive FM song. Each member contributed to the song in a way that the sum of the parts is so much greater than the whole.
There are no bad songs of Rumors, it's worth a full album listen!
Since you mentioned Christine, you need to do one of her songs. "Songbird" is a masterpiece.
Lindsey is a guitar players guitarist ..He can rip it up and be subtle as hell, and in this song his haunting phrases are killer..He can stand up to any guitarist
The underappreciated John McVie on bass. We are not worthy.

The SUPER 70S! COUDNT BE TOUCHED EXCEPT MAYBE ANOTHER 70S BAND, THE EAGLES. OF COURSE Bob Seger would nee😊d to be mentioned. But so was Heart! And Alan Parsons and so manny other SUPER STARS OF THE INCREDIBLE, 70S.THATS WHY THEY WERE SUPER!😢
I saw Stevie Nicks show in Charlotte NC last October 🔥 It was pure fire even at age 74! She stills rocks it. When she did this song the place went crazy! Everyone was singing word for word all together with her ❤ It was pure magic 🎤
I recommend that you listen to The Chain next…it’s the most powerful track on this album, and I have loved this album since it was released (46 years ago last week)
The live version of this is ten times this amazing, at the end Stevie goes ham. It is unbeatable.

Yes, saw them at Red Rocks in Colorado, amazing concert!
One of my favorite verses ever: *Well did she make you cry* *Make you break down* *Shatter your illusions of love* *Is it over now* *Do you know how* *To pick up the pieces and go home*
This song live is a whole different animal. Definitely a must live.
One of THE BEST "closers" of ANY album in rock history....
Lindsey is responsible for the mood in this song with the layered guitar and the howling at the end.

Nope to you. There’s a live version from Madison Square Garden where she does the howl a couple of times. I think there’s a version from Philadelphia, as well. Also, Ken Caillat’s production notes from the studio confirm that it’s Stevie.

@@blemelin Live versions aren’t the recording. I hear Lindsey’s voice in the howl on the recording.
Christine sang two of the hits off of Rumours, “You Make Lovin’ Fun” and “Songbird”. Both are great tunes
I love Lindsey and his solo work. I think he is underrated because his style and sound is so much different than the speed demons. He's also very talented doing the writing and mixing.
Classic Stevie tune that has a depressingly realistic look at drug troubles .

@Danelle Covey sorry... thought I was still on The Chain.
I was 17 when this album first came out in '77...it was in everybody's collection, LP, for the bedroom, and cassette for the car...the whole album is great. Rock ON!

Stevie built her career on our presumption of her as that dark mysterious white witch, which she says she's not, but she has played right into it.... black lace, her jewelry it's paints a mysterious picture
The bass riff from The Chain is was got my then 14 year old son to self teach himself to learn the bass. At 21 he can play very well and the electric and acoustic of both bass and electric. What a way to make your Gen X mother proud.❤
The opening line tells you everything… Rock on Gold, dust woman take your silver spoon and dig your grave. It’s all about drug addiction, and it is such a spooky, eerie, trancelike mood created, and maybe that is to mirror the trance-like mood addicted people feel.
you need to do "Songbird" to really honor Christine McVie.
Lindsey has an incredible style.
Possibly my favorite Fleetwood Mac song.
Thank you Christine for so much beautiful music. You touched so so many
I second "The Chain". Just mind-blowing.
You HAVE to hear "I'm so afraid". Make sure it's live in Boston!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It'll tear you up!!!!!!!
This song live is pure 🔥
Lindsey is incredible with the guitar. If you wish to experience his talent, he did a solo concert where he played and sang the song “Big Love”. You will be amazed.
In the chorus harmonies, you can hear all three voices distinctly. Nicks, Buckingham and McVie.
This is my favorite song from Fleetwood Mac.
Lindsey is totally under rated!
I love that you compared the guitar to a voice ... excellent analogy!
Rumours was an instant commercial success, selling over 10 million copies worldwide within just a month of its release. It garnered widespread acclaim from critics, with praise centred on its production quality and harmonies, which frequently relied on the interplay among three vocalists and has inspired the work of musical acts in different genres. It won Album of the Year at the 1977 Grammy Awards. It has sold over 40 million copies worldwide, making it one of the best-selling albums of all time. It has received Diamond certifications in several countries, including the UK, Canada, and Australia, and has been certified 20× Platinum in the US.
They do a song called Hypnotized. You will love it. ❤
This album sold over 40 million copies. It's timeless. A masterpiece...
amazing how clear the sound is on Rumors' songs
I always loved this song
i once was in Reno, Nevada at the Reno Hilton (now it's the Grand Sierra Resort), and they had an outdoor ampitheatre and from out hotel window we could see and hear Stevie Nicks rehearing this song. We also were there for that concert of course. It was cool to see the entire rehearsal. It was amazing! Great reactions!
The Chain is a next must listen. It’s in my top 3 Fleetwood Mac songs and there are dozens of great ones.
Love this song. Thanks for reacting to it.
This song is a vibe. Definitely a journey ❤
"Sisters of the Moon" by Fleetwood Mac. Live version. Mirage tour. It is on KZread.
Research what the band was going through while making this album. Gives all of these songs A LOT more meaning.

Silver Springs (Live from The Dance -1997) is a great one to check out from the Mac. One of their best and most intense performances
Me, smiling, LOVING 🥰 this song and remembering when I was 18 years old in the US Navy stationed in Norfolk, VA. God I miss this era of *great* classic hits.
It's a very ethereal and expressive song. I love the way you guys give context to songs by adding information relating to songs. I haven't heard all of this album but I've heard so much about it. Fleetwood Mac are a phenomenal band and every song I've heard of theirs I've loved it.
Still one of the greatest selling albums of all time .....!! Pushing 50 years since it's release ............
True. I listened to it all last week. Every song is excellent. Love 'world turnin'
Stevie is my favorite female vocalist
DO.. SECOND HAND NEWS! Every single song on this album is fantastic. Every one
I’ve always loved this song… so spooky
You will see the most passion in all FM songs in their live concert videos. Especially watching Stevie perform live in the 70s. She rocked! The entire Rumors album was about the interpersonal relationships and break-ups of the band members, especially Stevie & Lindsey's personal relationship, but they still stayed together for the music.
"The Chain"!!! Is a must !!!!!
It's like a sound lasagna. SO much going on! One of my favorites.
He is in my top five guitarist, Amen
Back in those days, people either wore or carried a tiny silver spoon for snorting a particular powdery substance. Nicks sings, "Take your silver spoon, dig your grave." Of course, being born with a sliver spoon means something completely different but it's safe to assume which one she's referring to. Sidenote: That howling during the fade out is all Lindsey's crazy ass.
One of Christine's song I like very much is "You Make Loving Fun" - it's a cute, summery song with a nice warm beat. Give it a listen!
Haunting sound. I still love Stevie.
A classic. Given the layers of bullshit which were revealing themselves during the recording of this project, it's amazing that it was ever finished. Lucky for us.
Lindsay Buckingham is one of the most under rated guitarists and Mick Fleetwood in one of the most under rated drummers of all time.
Fleetwood Mac are a British-American rock band, formed in London in 1967. Fleetwood Mac were founded by guitarists and vocalists Peter Green and Jeremy Spencer, and drummer Mick Fleetwood. Bob Brunning was hired as a temporary bass guitarist before John McVie joined the line-up in time for their eponymous debut album. Danny Kirwan joined as a third guitarist and vocalist in 1968. Keyboardist and vocalist Christine Perfect, who contributed as a session musician from the second album onwards, married McVie and joined in 1970, becoming known as Christine McVie. Primarily a British blues band at first, Fleetwood Mac achieved a UK number one with "Albatross",[6] and had other hits such as the singles "Oh Well", "Man of the World", and "The Green Manalishi". Green, Spencer and Kirwan all left in succession during the early 1970s, replaced by guitarist and vocalist Bob Welch, guitarist Bob Weston and vocalist Dave Walker. By 1974, Welch, Weston and Walker had all either departed or been dismissed, leaving the band without a male vocalist or a guitarist. In late 1974, while Fleetwood was scouting studios in Los Angeles, he heard the American folk-rock duo Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. He asked Buckingham to be their new guitarist and vocalist with Buckingham agreeing on the condition that Nicks could also join as vocalist.
Linsey is a very good, melodic guitar playing. Rather that shredding a bunch of technical runs, he serves the song. I have him on my top ten list for guitarists, right up there with Mike Campbell from Tom Petty's heatbreakers.

This song fits into the Stevie narrative of mystical woman. I prefer this song to Rhiannon, and Tusk. Whenever a soundscape is involved, I get lost in the sauce.
Love Stevie Nicks.. this song was on her Bella Donna album, listened to it a lot while I was at sea in the Navy back in 1984 and 1985!!
Stevie can turn anybody’s music into magic. Give a listen to Gold by John Stewart and Stevie Nicks.
John McVie. One of the most underrated bassists ever! Great reaction guys. You are my favorites. You guys actually have brains.
Foo Fighters did this song with Stevie Nicks. You want to talk fire….. OMG it takes the song to a whole new level
For me it's one of thier lower tier songs(gold dust woman).Early Fleerwood Mac did a song called "Hypnotized". Its ethereal.
Great 80s juke box music. Head to your favorite watering hole after work, drop anchor and chill to some Mac. So many good hits from that album.
Yes this is one of those songs the more you listen to it the more you like it…it’ll grow on you for sure!
I saw Stevie on her Wild Heart tour in 83. She was so awesome!

One of my 1st memories is my mom dropping me and my brother off at my Grandma's house so she could go to the Wild Hearts concert. I've seen Fleetwood Mac 3 times as an adult.
It is about the totality of their ability to do just about any style and nail it I think, more so than the song itself.
This is another one like "Rhiannon" where she really takes off with the last section on the live version. "Sisters of the Moon" is that song from the next album "Tusk", where she gets possessed at the end of the song when they do it live. If you want to really see Lindsey go off on guitar, watch a live performance of "I'm So Afraid", from the 2014 tour. I don't think there is a PRO shot, but there are plenty of audience videos that are of good enough quality to enjoy it.
My girlfriend at the time and I seen them play August 1st 1977 , Kansas city MO. Kemper arena. They played songs from one of the best albums ever produced. Rumors. They were fantastic live
I have loved this woman's voice since 1977 and that was listening on 8 track in my Pops 1976 Sedan DeVille. she's amazing 🥰
Yes! Every song in this album is a hit!
Great choice! Fleetwood Mac is excellent in concert and was on fire in the 70's. They'll always be tops. The Rumors album is fire!
You guys have a great channel; good taste in music, and great senses of humour. Big fan from Canada.
Gotta do Landslide too. Awesome. Also Christine on Songbird is a must
The “soundscapes” at the end was Lyndsey in a small bathroom. Lyndsey was a well planned out Producer. A full album review is needed and it all makes sense.
OMG One of my favorites! ❤️💯
my fave from them!
Guys, researching Mac and the going ons during the making of Rumours is a must. It will all ties together.
Every, EVERY song on Rumours is amazing...which is mind-boggling considering the amount of turmoil (and cocaine) the band was dealing with during the making of this album. "Songbird" is one of my favorite Fleetwood Mac songs, and on this album, though I like everything they do. But "Songbird" really spotlights Christine McVie...so simple, so beautiful.
I like the song, it's melodic, you can hear different instruments in it that fit perfectly, you can read a book and listen to this song, you can go in a car and listen to this song, but anywhere, from me 5+.
Finally someone recognizes Lindsay Buckinghams' greatness!?
You guys are right...Lindsey is an amazing and underated guitarist. You guys should check out the live version of this with Bob Welch.
The Chain is my all time favorite from Big Mac. Smokin’ hot banger!
Lindsey is amazing, and anybody who knows anything about guitar knows that! Rock on, guys!
Love this song!!! Love Fleetwood Mac!!!! Love Love you guys Reactions!!!! And this song is the Ending or Closing song on "Rumours" You guys should do the whole album and see how the songs flow!!!
Every layer of instrument is crystal clear and so very striking.
This was one of Stevie Nicks "Welch Witch" type songs in the vein of Rhiannon.
Also, having been lucky enough to see Fleetwood Mac live, I will tell you the best concert of theirs I ever went to had a 25 minute version of this as the first encore and then the entire band left the stage and it was just Christine sitting at the piano, and she ended the whole thing with songbird all by herself
U need to review Hypnotized since you like dreamy quality songs. One of my favorites of Fleetwood Mac.
EVERY song is a masterpiece!!! I’m not even exaggerating!
i think Lindsey plays Guitar with no pick! he kills it!
'Rumours' is so iconic that like half of the album got radio play. Even the non-singles like "The Chain" became chart toppers in some countries. It's a masterpiece. Christine McVie recently passed, RIP. Her songs were some of the band's best.
It’s true you need to do a complete Rumors review. The album is a Master Piece. Pure perfection . Vocally and musically it does not get any more perfect from start to finish like Rumors. It has sold over 50 million copies for a reason and was the 4th best selling LP of all time .
This song will only grow on you the more you listen. It is a very, moody atmospheric song, but I think that is what I love about it. It's different, unique and U appreciate the skill demonstrated in their writing and musicianship. The mastery with which they create the atmosphere and then slowly build up the intensity to a late climax. At least that is how I feel about it. Anyway, another great reaction. Great take on the curse, reflected by the howls and moans of Lindsey, the male figure, opposite Stevie's witchery.
You definitely need to do The Chain from this album. It's probably my favorite of their songs. It's also the only song credited to all members of the band.
Who didn’t have this album 😊 loved Fleetwood Mac 💙🙏🏻🇬🇧xx p.s every album they made & every song they produced was instant love 🙏🏻
Lads for a fire Lindsey Buckingham track you need to do "I'm So Afraid" live from their The Dance gig. Also Stevie write a song called Silver Springs which she wanted to put on Rumours but it was voted down, they did that live in The Dance as well and that performance became the official version of that song and it is fíre! The tension and vibe between Stevie and Lindsey is at it's peak!
