5:02 is a clip from "Beat-Club" in June 1971. Lineup Fleetwood, John & Christine McVie, Danny Kirwan, and new member Bob Welch (not pictured) 5:08 Christine did join in 1970 but she had already been in the band a year before this clip. 5:19 Spencer had previously left the band in Feb 1971. Welch was his replacement. 5:40 Kirwan left the band in summer 1972. 5:49 Weston joined in late 1972 and was sacked from the band in 1973 after his second album with them. 6:10 Bob Welch, who had been with band since 1971, is introduced as their "latest guitarist" in 1974. Also I think Peter Green deserved more attention to his music and less to his problems. The only decent FM documentary I've seen is from "Rock Family Trees".

I'm thinking, if a band loses 3 guitarists, for whatever individual reasons, one would have to conclude that perhaps it was the rhythm section (bass and drums) who were the real assholes. One thing os clear, they all seem to had lost their minds; they all just bounced. I mean they fucking fired Lindsey Buckingham, the very guitarist who composed and produced many of Fleetwood Mac's greatest hits during the band's heyday, he joined the band on the condition that his girlfriend, Stevie Nicks, would have be a part of the package. And, how the fuck do they repay him? Well, by the drummer having an affair with Lindsey Buckingham's ex-girlfriend, then, 45 years later 2018-19.., firing him?!?!? Over some bullshit? You don't fire that dude.

So you honestly think Lindsey couldnt in anyway be a problem at all. Just because hes an amazing artist doesny mean he couldnt be a problem. I mean remember he left the group just before the Shake the Cage Tour which was a bit of a shitty thing to do. I'm defended anynof the others they all are probably part of the problem..

5 seconds of Stevie Nick's horrible bleating and I'm gone. The band was great early on, the pop drivel made them crazy rich, so more power to them.

The Buckingham nicks era was anything but pop drivel. I love the peter and Danny era and it is a Shame it gets sort of over looked. But just because the later era was more popular doesnt make it shit. If your not a fan that's fine but the Buckingham nicks era is alot of amazing stuff.

this documentary is okay i guess. The way the importance of Peter Green was overlooked bothered me a bit. PETER GREEN is one of the greatest musicians ever without a doubt. This fact should never be understated

That is your opinion. The opinion of the majority, however, is that the Rumors era of Fleetwood Mac is the one that should be paid attention to. Hence why the documentary is--imagine that--about them.

+Ben Literal The point is that people aren't aware of the great music and musicians that were in Fleetwood Mac prior to the Rumours era, and glossing over it only perpetuates the problem. Still, this one's better than Behind the Music, which is basically "Yeah, they played some blues and had Peter Green, but then Lindsay Buckingham joined!" Green being one of the finest musicians, Kirwan pushing towards harmonies and melodic songs, and Bob Welch settling them into contemporary rock should not be ignored. And they didn't mention "Black Magic Woman" or "The Green Manalishi", or even the fake Mac incident.

They have to confine it down to an hour, to fit a TV time slot. Things are going to get glossed over because most people are interest in the band in their prime, 1975-1982. I would even guess that 80% of Fleetwood Mac listeners don't even know who Peter Green is, because to most people, all they know is their 1975 album to Mirage, and maybe some of Stevie's solo stuff.

Is Peter Green dead? It would seem so the way the band members were talking - I appreciate that after taking the 'bad acid' he was severely affected mentally, and McVie states 'he never came back' (meaning the real Peter was gone) but please give this brilliant guy some credit - and he is still around. Shame on the BBC for not giving fans the full facts.
