Fleet Week SUCKS?! | Berkeley & Horseshoe Cove | Sailing Avocet

After three weeks of anchoring around the San Francisco Bay we decided to flex our reciprocal yacht club privileges and visit the Neely family’s old stomping - or sailing - grounds in Berkeley to replenish our tanks, and pick up some day crew for the San Francisco Fleet Week festivities. Our time in Berkeley was spent reminiscing and making new memories with friends and of course completing projects that were (of course) laced within. Dock life is sweet but we were ready to keep moving and decided it was time to make our way out of the gate, bidding SF Bay farewell.

@@sailingavocet I bet, they look like aliens. My first ever dive was in Monterey Bay when they had a red tide and swarms of nettles, I'll never forget how amazing it looked gazing up towards the surface! Our planet is truly mind blowing
Nice! I sail a Pacific Seacraft Dana 24, as well! Nice to see a sister ship my amazing little boat Maureen loved by a doting captain like Bryan!

Sad to say this was the last! We miss parts of the bay but are really enjoying Mexico... can't wait to share those videos soon-ish

@@sailingavocet Please check US State Department for Mexico travel advisories. Recent news reports are bad - State Dept. has advised Americans not to enter certain areas. Other channels are in Sea of Cortez and they have not reported any problems. Just be careful where you go. See you next time. :¬) Webhead USA

Tires in the lazarettes, frames in the storage space under the V berth :)
