I'm so glad I decided to check this channel randomly. I am a big fan of this game and I know this channel will do it justice.

One of the most instructive playthroughs I have ever seen. It got me to take the dusty game off the shelf, dust it off and follow along with you. The only question I have is from my reading of the Yamamoto rules, a CVE cannot be placed On a fleet card that doesn’t have some type of Carrier missing from it. Surface fleet would not be allowed.

Great content as usual. I feel like i'm watching an exciting documentary. Also, the game looks very interesting. You really inspire me to play games. In my case, i have Western Front Ace setup on the table but i'm not feeling too well. Maybe a flu or COVID or something. Anyway, thanks for sharing and take care!

Loved this format. Production value very high and up to the usual Poindexter standard.

This looks like it will be the best play through of this great game. You should try the island expansion sometime. Also the campaign expansion

Great video, as usual! An absolute treat to watch, thank you! Having played FCN 2nd edition a few times myself, I´m still amazed how well (yet fast and simple) the game manages to resolve the battles - those japanese battle plans do cause some nail biting suspense - and sometimes a few curses!

Great playthrough! I love DVG solitaire games but don't own this one so it was nice to see how it works.

Like the Video. Do you have any idea the work put in this? I'm Curious I figure the first Video takes 20 hours of set up then the rest of the videos take about 5 hours apiece with the editing?

I would have used extend battle 1 turn Plan on the 2nd last Battle. If I Have a numeric advantage.

First class as usual. Curious how well the Japanese AI works in this game overall, recognise there will always be a few iffy actions.

There are, but the Yamamoto expansion helps quite a bit especially with ships. This makes their movement a little more plausible and with the right orders, they can overwhelm an objective easily.
