Good parents, drinking and driving is dangerous, they need someone responsible, like a 17 year old.

When I got my drivers license, I still didn't have a car...

When I first got my drivers license. I couldn't sleep couldn't wait to get up the next morning and get my hands on the steering wheel just a great feeling. I will never forget that moment in my life. Happy 4th everyone.

Going to the skatepark is exactly why getting my license made me feel so independent when I first got it and even still today. Cause God knows my parents hate driving me to the skatepark. Way to hit the nail on the head with that one Derek D

When I first got my license I felt so independent I got on the freeway and hit 130mph then the chp pulled me over for wreck less driving 😬 Happy 4th of July every one

After I got my license, I took a 1500 mile road trip in my mom's Malibu. Then it was off to college in my 1986 Ford Escort Wagon, aka "pimp mobile" haha.

My mom made me go get groceries.

Got home, got the Lotus 7 kitcar I had built up over 3 years (my foster parents used it as a way of getting a wayward teenager to do his home work "home work not done, no working on the car or going on your bike".... Homework got done! Jumped in it and drove to the Isle of Man to book hotel for the bike race that year.... Oh and drove around the course, across the island and did several stupid things one would not get away with in this day and age. I LOVED that car!

I got license test this coming Thursday. *fingers crossed*

I drove up to Kansas City for a lobster dinner at the Savoy Grill.

I was always independent, I don't even have a driving license before I started to drive. My sister use to let me keep her impala while she was at work, I was driving for at least three years before for my license LOL!

I was able to drive to my high school and back by myself :>) I felt liberated.

I have my G1 Ontario license (means i can drive with an adult between certain hours of the day except never on highways). It makes me feel free to rev out my dad's Mustang GT since I've always loved sitting passenger as he did it. But it's also fun to beat on my mom's 2014 Dodge Caravan...

When I got my license, I still couldn't go anywhere. I didn't have a car or a job yet. haha

When I finally got my driver's license I registered my car into my name because I bought it when I was 16 and had it registered in my sister's name so that my parents wouldn't know that it was my car to begin with. LOL

Well i was taking the buss for school and after i got my license i did't need the bus anymore.

First thing I did with my license? Drove to the dealership to pick up my dad's Mustang from being serviced.

my First driving license was driving my dad car to work at FedEx.

I went on a road trip to Philadelphia from New York City at 1 am and had to be back home in time before my mother woke up and realized her car was missing and we did all of that just to get Philly cheesesteaks we where clapped me and my friends

This had the potential of being a future doing it wrong.

i was driving for 10 years before i got my DL..

I got my license and didn't get to drive for 2 and a half years from then.

When i got my license it was to late for all the hits and tickets from the cops

I skipped school and went to Boomers the movies and the beach lol fun times fun times in my 92 sentra.

I didn't feel independent because I had a solid rear axle

When I first got my license I was 16 and I didn't have my own car so I took my dads 1984 Chevrolet pick up with a 454 and pick up my best friend and we went to sonic and picked up a couple of burgers and shakes had fun

When i got my license it was just doing errands for my parents pretty freakin lame.

the moment I got my license, a police officer pulled me over and got my first ticket. Welp...

when i got my license i couldn't afford a car back then so yeah i had a scooter. probably got up to about 60mph cause thats how fast it will go.

When I got my license I felt like I didn't get one, because I didn't. I am only 13 years old. HAH!

I went and test drove a car first day I got my license but it was more funny when guy said never seen temp for test drive lol and I test drove 2011 camaro ss I always told my self I'll go to dealer and test drive car and that ment so much too me that day and fail test two times

I felt very independent until the first week I got my license I got a $360 speeding ticket for going 90mph on the highway lol

When I got my driver license I felt like I should get a car as well. 😢

I was able to hang with friends w/ no curfew, pick up my girl whenever I wanted, and as important as picking up my girl - I was able to street race all the time with no worries of crashing a car that isn't mine. Now since I got my motorcycle license - I can street race legit sports/ exotics/ super cars with no worries of losing that often.

After license I could pork Anastacia Clemens in my 1984 RX7.

I didn't really feel so much freedom as I did relief, after 2 years of driving in the city without a license its not the US, you don't get pulled over as much for regular checking of papers, if you get pulled over we commonly say you are either redhead or "hincha de racing" (you support a soccer that has really bad luck every single tournament). ANYWAY, when i got it, i called some friends and went on a surfing trip to the coast of Argentina, for 4 or 5 days, pretty awesome, got back and then went on a skiing trip with my dad, which he made me drive most of the way (2500km out of 3000km).

When I got my license?........ I did a burnout.

Juno reached Jupiter (Idk what kind of shit is that, i know nothing) in indepedence day too. Coincidence? i don't think so.

I got in my car went and picked up 3 of my friends. And i just drove all over cause i could. We went and chilled at the mall met some babes. Then we hit up the Taco Bell drive thru. And of course we headed to the beach to cruise the strip and checkout the chicks. We hit up Taco Bell again i think tacos were like 35 cents or something like that again. Oh since it was my first night out in that same drive thru i ran up on the curb and put a hole in muffler!!! And I was still gone all night...haha Happy 4th...

This was stupid and looking back 4 years later i would not recommend any 16 year old to do but when i first got my license I drove 140mph on the highway to express my new found freedom. *my cover picture is me going 124 the fastest I was comfortable going holding a camera

I was living in Florida and had always wanted to take A1A ( road that follows the coast) and just drive it as far south as it would let me. So, I grabbed my girlfriend and set off. To this day that has been one of my fondest memories of being behind the wheel.
