I'm writing this recipe in the comments as a helpful guide for my own use. Please watch the video for full instructions and techniques. :) 1 cup ground flaxseed aka flaxseed meal 1/2 cup water 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp thyme 1. In a bowl add and combine all the ingredients. Use hands to form the dough into a ball. Let it rest for 30-60 minutes. 2. Place the dough on a large piece of parchment, ideally cut out to the dimensions of a baking sheet. Flatten it with hands. Place another parchment of the same size on top. Use a rolling pin to flatten the dough evenly to the edges of the paper. Remove the top parchment. Place on a baking sheet. 3. Score the dough into squares using a knife or pizza cutter. 4. Bake for 10 minutes at 170 °C.

"Unripe and raw flaxseed can have toxins that may be harmful in high doses. Consider toasting, cooking or baking the flaxseed to destroy those toxins." The flax IS baked, as part of making the crackers.

Questions: is there a difference between ground flax seed and flax seed meal? Don’t the flax seeds sprinkled on top need to be ground? Thank you removing your watch before cooking. (Tan line gave it away.)

Hi, thank you for your question. Flaxseed meal is the same as ground flaxseed but not every country call it flaxseed meal. I have used whole flaxseed on top for decoration but you are free to ground it or not or even use other seeds. I hope I answered your question. 😊

@@heartilyvegan but what is wrong if we roast them, cuz I Heard it's poisonous to eat flaxseed without roasting.

It is not poisonous. However, if it makes you feel better you can toast them before doing the flour. But the taste will be a bit bitter. Try it and let me know 😉

What kind of parchment paper is that?

It's a reusable baking paper. You can buy it in any bakery shop or on amazon. It is long lasting and resistant! I love it, much better then disposable baking paper which contain silicon as well but you can use it once only.
