as a story element we could have that because flavius gets on in years he got one incurable disease so he makes his 3 sons expand on 3 different direction in order for them to incrise their influence and became the heir apparent of the julii house the one who is in sardinia will have to conquer the africa and the west meditteranian sea flavius along with his eldest will move to conquer the gauls, iberians(spain) and britannians and the other will deal with the dacians, the thracians and the germans. we could also add objectives that would greatly increase the influece of every sons house like stealing cities that the other roman houses try to take and killing key figures from each faction( kings and heirs).

14:40 - the battle ended a long time earlier but you chose to Continue. Once that happens you have to manually end the battle unless all enemies are dead. Also, I don't understand why people don't just build the maximum number of rams/siege engines. They don't cost anything and give you more flexibility. Why not build 5 every time?

As I remember, if you build a watchtower far enough in your border, you can see Massillia too. It must be at the far border of Segesta.

So glad you're back! Thank you :) Just one question before i blether about RP - are you looking to be republican rome as long as possible, or plan for imperial from the outset? To my mind, that affects whether you RP your faction members having to fight at lest a year's worth of actual combat before taking up a political role or heirship, then having to accumulate good (or bad) traits; or whether you set out to be imperial from the outset (which would upset the spqr and your own people) while having more micro over where to move which generals with what followers? (the right answer is "shut up Armchair" btw :P )

27:00 I too was frustrated by this, but it turns out they didn't remove the feature, just changed how you do it. If you hold shift and hover over territory you have seen you can see how currently owns the region.

Instead of going the short way around and only capturing the opposite gate, you should have hugged the wall and captured the towers as well, then the two warbands going around would have gotten murdered and your general would not have gotten shot running after them. Also, a tip I read, and subsequently put to great use long time ago. When charging in with your general cavalry, always blow the horn right before the units clash, that makes the leader model stop for a moment and they won't be in front where they could get easily killed. Almost never lost a leader in battle, after I started doing that.

Good tip on using the rally ability before charging a general. Keep watching this series and you'll see that I implement that 🤓
