  You are being too Picky while creating an army. Just make an army and go on offence. AI will take & loose settlements. You will have to take the charge. -Only way to defeat ironborns is by attacking their home. Once you attack, the rest of North will follow & Iron Island will fall. Try taking Dreadfort & Twins for yourself & buy a valerian steel sword since you have the money.

  Do you plan on limiting yourself to mountain settlement only for this playthrough? You'd still get to conquer non-mountain settlements but you'd have to give them away to nearby allies. Also I appreciate giving a close look of the units, not many youtubers do that nowadays since the mod is old.

  Time for some guerilla warfare? Hit and run attacks on individual armies, bolstered by raids on relatively undefended settlements to train your troops and keep the foes spilt off from their main offensive?   Legends shall be told and ballads sung of the insane courage of Lord Adam who charged the enemy’s gates during the siege of the twins after witnessing the destruction of the army’s siege engines. He single handedly brought down the enemy gates roaring as he hacked through with his great 2 handed axe. When he chopped through at last he cut through several terrified guards before their reinforcements could arrive. Once they had arrived he led the enemy out of the safety of their fortress and the chokepoint they guarded into the open field taking several blows to his body to keep them chasing until he could rally men from his own army and others to cut the yellow bellied traitors down. He led the men once more into the breach he had created cutting down many himself before the battle was ended. Many say the battle would have been lost if not for the courage and possible insanity of Lord Adam.

  I'll get money through investing in infrastructure and trade. By sacking settlements unnecessarily, it will slow down future development which is going to be essential to flourish in mid-campaign. Being an economic powerhouse enables you to be a military powerhouse. Then you can steam roll.

  I first started this game with Bruttii. I remember of writing everything I do for every turns when I was a kid. Like writing some sort of a story, reading it was just soo wonderful and exciting for me. Then I lost all stories somehow. Happy to see someone doing the same thing I do after all those years.
