Honestly I think roundwounds on a P sound great for hard rock, hardcore, punk, & metal that’s not too low tuned, otherwise I think I prefer the flats, they sit better in a mix where the guitar aren’t super dense & distorted & the drums aren’t insanely busy
Flats in the P bass are addictive for lack of better term..

Good Times by Chic. "Rapper's Delight" used this as a sample but the original is from Chic and the bassist is the legendary Bernard Edwards. Cheers.

Can‘t say, wich one for sure😉 Oh: Sugar Hill Gang didn‘t sample, Chip Shearin had to play Chic‘s Bass Riff for 15 Minutes straight
