Why does negative film require the producer to be on site?

Interesting. Cinecap software is not sold without purchase of a Moviestuff Telecine. Where then didst thou obtain said software?

What is a better machine in your opinion,Flashscan,Moviestuff,Tobin.I live in Australia and want to set up a telecine business a long dream of mine. Some student films here are shot on super 8 where the gate has been machined out to capture a 16 x 9 image So one that could scan the whole frame is desirable.

Moviestuff (a better home-made toy) and Tobin (ancient 80s device without much of any correction features) don't nearly play in the same league as the MWA Flashscan.

Sure, but the price difference is tens of thousands of dollars...and Tobin is out of business now.
