今回は1983年にリリースされたアイリーン・キャラの『Flashdance…What A Feeling』をカバーさせていただきました。
この曲は1983年に公開された映画『フラッシュダンス』の主題歌で、アカデミー歌曲賞とゴールデングローブ賞主題歌賞を受賞した大ヒット曲です。
私が歌やダンスシーンのある映画が大好になったキッカケがこの「フラッシュダンス」でした。
主人公アレックスが最後のオーディションで踊るシーンをこの曲が飾っていてとても感動したのを覚えています。
日本では同じく1983年にドラマ「スチュワーデス物語」の主題歌として麻倉未稀さんが日本語カバーを歌いました。
この映画の影響…かどうかはわかりませんが、私はZUMBAというフィットネスダンスのインストラクターをしています。
1コマ1時間で10曲踊るのですが、毎回楽しくて天職だと思えるほどです(笑)
この映画、2022年に4Kデジタルリマスター版がリバイバル上映されましたので、まだ観たことがない方はぜひ観ていただきたいです！

This time we have covered "Flashdance...What A Feeling" by Irene Cara, released in 1983.
This song was the theme song for the 1983 movie "Flashdance" and was a big hit, winning the Academy Award for Best Song and the Golden Globe Award for Best Theme Song.
It was "Flashdance" that started my love for movies with singing and dancing scenes.
I remember I was very moved by the scene where the main character Alex dances at the last audition.
In Japan, Miki Asakura sang the Japanese cover of the song as the theme song for the drama "Stewardess Story" in 1983.
I am not sure if it was influenced by this movie or not, but I am a fitness dance instructor of ZUMBA.
Each session takes one hour and we dance 10 songs, but I enjoy it so much every time that I consider it my calling (lol).
This movie was revived in 2022 in a 4K digitally remastered version, so if you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend you to watch it!
