gg Thanks for the cast! This was way more of a test for Flash than that game vs. Stork. Best is almost like a specialist at breaking through Terran turtle shells. Great by both sides!

Amazing match. Flash eventually decided that he was going to try and win on 1-base economy while using his massive army. When Best eventually realized that Flash didn’t rebuild his SCV’s, he knew it was time to take a base in the top right. Flash was hoping he could kill it as easily as he could the 6 o clock base… but the top right corner main base is too defensible. Unfortunate miscalculation. He would’ve been better off rebuilding the SCV’s and playing more defensively.

Only a few out of millions can beat flash, he's the best starcraft broodwar player of all time.

Lock down has to absolutely wreck the speed shuttle style. Know it's a pain in the ass to get but like 6 ghosts spread around catching these when they can has to be crazy efficient in terms of trading.

Mmmmm very interesing game happen. Bravo, bravo boys you do well. You make me happy by making the game interesting. In the end, the goal of the interesting game is to gain experience from complex tangled very difficult situations in which it is difficult to determine the superiority or advantage of one or the other playing side. Many thanks to Flash and the other players who do their best to be able to work out the calculations accurately in the difficult and complex, high-risk game situations. Flash can really become a real big KZreadr. Often times things are determined by the skill applied in the game and less by the game itself. Not being a SC pro, but from the mini series vs Snow and this game, it seems that Flash has issues with 2 things: 1) not making 4th/5th bases quick enough, because protoss at some point makes 4-5-6 bases immediately, creating a big economic boost, while Flash runs out of resources and can't make new bases/army reinforcements 2) storm drops

pumping out the casts like crazy. Thanks man!

Protoss need to include a proxy shield battery at some point to recharge shuttle/reaver

you can tell flash is not mechanically in form currently, though give him a few months and he start making short work of these other pro players

He is quite good! He is getting old though and the rest are getting better with Protoss and Zerg! i always felt his opponents are not trying anything different to beat him, but we can see in this game that he can be beaten quite often with different combinations!

@@beslemeto I don't know if I agree with you on the other protoss and zergs getting better, if I anything I would say the opposite is true, especially with the zergs. Both Queen and Soulkey have being playing far below their peaks, and even Soma is not quite delivering. I hope Flash's return would breathe some life into the competition.

Perhaps cringe, but your vids beat the loneliness away man. Your casts have a "hanging with the bros" vibe with brood war overlay.

As a Protoss main I actually like to have a stargate with +1 air weapons to make a few Scouts to SAFELY clear spider mines, shoot science vessels and floating buildings, and force Terran to spend Vespene Gas on Goliaths when he would rather make tanks. Stork use to do this back in the day and people are so unaccustomed to seeing Scouts they can be slow to counter them. Then if I choose to go into carrier later in the game I ALREADY have my Stargate and +1 done.

theres this cool thing about flash games where the opponent plays REALLY well and you know he would've won but it was flash and his macro is just bonkers. there's too much stuff all the time.

keeping 3 probes on gas and banking it up a bit is not a mistake. It just means that Best was not optimizing for an early timing push. It's totally fine to float gas for when all the tech kicks in. It's actually more optimized for midgame than sending a probe off and back on the gas. Shuttle speed and a few dragoons and the gas is spent by 5 30 in game clock (3:44).

@@SaiyanKCM here is Best's thought process for the opening: - at first he intends to open with dragoon, then range, then Nexus, just like normal - but after his probe meets the scouting SCV at top right, and then sees Flash is not top right, he knows Flash has to be cross-spawn --> he cancels range to have the Nexus a bit earlier (the cancel is to save mineral, not gas) - then when he sees Flash is not just cross-spawn, but also goes for gasless expand, he knows early Terran aggression (like FD) is out of the question, but he's also too late for dragoon pressure on the bunker, so that's why he skips range all the way to after the Reaver tech. At top level they optimize the build to every second like that.

Seems like a small group of wraiths might have been worth getting to hunt down some shuttles, but I am a noob so maybe not

Best is the best protoss right now

Hey, I like the casts, but please don't cut off so much of the start of the game. Like a lot of decisions have been made already by the time there are 12 SCVs. I would prefer to simply watch it from the very beginning, but at the very latest I'd say one could skip to 8 SCVs because then it is possible to look at the timings of things like barracks, depot, scout, etc.

Best was always the one player who could actually beat flash, mainly because for some reason he of all protosses knows how to abuse mass zealot A-moving. Once Flash gets his mechanics back to counter the brainless A-Move, he'll be in good shape to return to terminator status

Best does not simply A-move bro. Lmfao. He breaks terran static D in set ups that seem impossible. Watch some of tastosis ASL casts of Best making busts. Also did you not see the hundreds of storms in this game? Shuttle storm play during busts is micro intensive, not to mention RIGHT CLICK moving zealots along the best path mine-wise towards tanks, and moving goons past floating buildings to actually attack units.

@@utarian7 yeah some people will never understand and always associate mass zealot with brainless A move. Just think about it, if simply A moving zealots can kill Flash, then maybe Flash is not that good eh? In fact, among the Protosses Best has the fastest micro-management DURING a big PvT engagement. He can parachute-drop from 3 4 Shuttles flawlessly, manually move command the zealots through the mine field, and grab the HT to storm, all in just a few seconds. Then when the battle finishes, you notice that he already makes another round of macro and puts down a Nexus somewhere. It sounds so obvious but no other Protosses do that as well as him.
