Hi. How is your card going after 5 months. Did you have any problems so far? Temps? Do you still recommend flashing?

Hello, I would still recommend it. I have it set on 2000MHz 1750MHz VRAM. It idles at about 50°C and never gets hotter than 85°C even when rendering or playing COD, CSGO, valorant... Just keep in mind that you will have to spend some time troubleshooting if it goes wrong. (Windows safe mode with safe drivers to flash it back or integrated GPU and flash). It is also a good idea to make a backup of your current bios before dlashing just in case. Only 2 ppl out of everyone that flashed with this video had problems and even they resolved the issues later so I think you should be fine but it's still better to be safe.

Heard its a lot easier to flash reference cards, the ones with single fan. Also stupid question here, when its flashed, what drivers do you use, regular 5700 or xt version?

With the reference you just download the program, flash it and it works. Here you just do a few extra steps like show in the video. If you follow the video the result will be the same as flashing a reference card. This card is at least 10-20° cooler than a reference so if you haven't bought anything yet I would recommend this over the reference. When it's flashed it's instantly recognised as a 5700xt. My drivers (5700 drivers) just worked on boot but I uninstalled them and reinstalled 5700xt drivers just to avoid potential issues. I think there shouldn't be any issues even if you keep the old drivers as it's basically the same card anyway.

@@kaPaURL unfortunately i already bought the reference card when it came out but havent flashed it yet since im scared of bricking it. Thanks for the explanation. I have seen vids of reference cards temp jumping to 90 celcius after the flash so im gonna try it and see what happens thanks again.

i did all of this, it started flashing. No confirmation message, no restart, nothing. OLd BIOS remains

I have an XFX 5700. I went through the flashing through the cmd prompt, it says it was successful, so I went to reboot to apply. PC wouldn't boot, luckily I have a dual bios. So I'm back to where I was. Did I just use an incompatible BIOS?

I can't say as it never happened to me but you can try this alternative: www.igorslab.de/morepowertool-amd-radeon-rx-5700-und-rx-5700-xt-tweaking-und-uebertaktungssoftware/2/ It's a tool that allows you to set higher max clocks and max voltages so you can just set 5700 xt setting in there. It does the same thing but it's 'safer'. I used it for a bit but should check some tutorial as I don't know the never versions.

What's the manufacturer of your GPU? I've read that it's better to not flash the RX5700 if it has only one PCIe 8-pin connector.

It's a Powercolour Dual fan 5700 it has a 8+6 connector. There is plenty of people flashing even stock 5700. If you want to be 100% safe it needs to have dual bios (maybe that has something to do with the pins, idk tho)

Ah that's too bad! Mine doesn't have a dual-BIOS switch, and it's a bit risky for me that wat possibly. The 75w from the PCIe slot + 180 coming from the PCIe 8-pin would be plenty still right?

@@nickv5468 I'm not an expert but I think it should be enough, mine doesn't have a bios switch either I just have an intel cpu with an iGPU, so you can fix it even if it doesn't have functional output. Also the chances of that happening are pretty slim.

@@nickv5468 if it's help my vega 56 won't start with just one Powe cable but the phage from it says I need at least 650 watt power supply so maybe it's just my card and year 2 x8 pin but I know it can't be above around 400 watt or smth just from gpu xd

Well, I just flashed the Liquid Devil Rom to my card. I'm about to restart. If I don't reply that it worked in just a few minutes, it probably didn't work.

@@kaPaURL Thanks man, but it turns out it isn't so stable. It may be that I don't really understand using the Radeon Adrenaline software yet (I've only used Nvidia and Afterburner in the past) or maybe the Liquid Devil bios wasn't the smartest for this cheap dual fan card. So I'm back to watch again so I can flash to a less aggressive bios. Fingers crossed.

hi ik this vid is gonna be 4 years old this year, but im having an issue flashing successfully i followed your instructions and was able to unlock the rom, but when i use the -f -p command i get an error: "Adapter not found ERROR: 0FL01" any idea how to resolve the issue? I haven't found a forum post with a fix for this :( thank you!

I can't say personally as I've never had this problem. It's possible that it recognizes multiple GPUs so you might have to specify -p 0 or -p 1. I can't really say for sure for your specific case. I found a video that might help: kzread.info/dash/bejne/rKOWt8-iYLKahqg.html

Sorry for the late response. I can't seem find it on on techpowerup or any archives but if you still need it this website still has it: www.3dfxzone.it/programs/?objid=18385 I checked it for malware and it seems legit but it gives me an error when trying to run it.

Unfortunately I have two cards in my system how do I set it to flash the right GPU

You can add "-p 0" to the command if its tour primary card or "-p 1" for the secondary. You can also add -f t force it but definetly backub your current bios first.

@@TheCrazybluntzyo If you don't have a motherboard with support for 2 gpus or a integrated gpu you can try to boot into safemode windows (safe drivers) and try to flash again. support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12376/windows-10-start-your-pc-in-safe-mode

@@korasukaro7794 I dontk know for sure but you can try flashing a bios that is tme most summilar to your card. Try to find the same brand and cooling design that is still the xt model and tey flashing that.

The most likely scenario is that you have tried flashing an inconpatible BIOS for the card. If you have a card with dual BIOS or BIOS reset switch it to the second profile/ reset it phisicaly ob the card (some cards have a special button/switch). If you cant do that you can use the reset tutorial below with the original 5700 nonXT bios if you have integrated graphics/ a second gpu: www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/atiflash-error-0fl01-fix.133935/ Keep in mind thatI haven't done this for a while now so I dont know how current drivers affect this.

Wut? It's basically the same card, just some miner details are different. Even the 5600xt is similar it's just binned. And I don't think u know what TFLOPs are...
