Flash is Not a Resource
Flash was originally conceptualized as an EMDR resource. It is now understood by its developer and its major trainers as a way to fully and adaptively process trauma. However, many people continue to understand Flash-like approaches as resources. In this podcast episode I make the case that Flash-like approaches done well fully transform and reprocess the memory in every way that we would consider a memory reprocessed in EMDR or any other transformative healing approach. Then if it’s not a resource it is surely a therapy system in and of itself. It might have had its genesis in EMDR but it’s now a standalone process. Which rather begs the question… if it is so complete and thorough, why doesn’t it supersede all other therapies?
Excellent video! Congratulations
