    Correction at 0:04: That is not the Hindi Alphabet. That is Gurmukhi, the script for the Punjabi language in India (Punjabi in Pakistan uses a different script).

  • @shuvammishra2837

    @shuvammishra2837

    Yep. And another fact that many seem to miss is while many Indian languages are written in the same script as their namesake, many are not. For example, Oriya is written in the Oriya script, Kannada in the Kannada script, Tamil in the Tamil script, but Hindi is written in the Devanagiri script, Punjabi in the Gurmukhi script, Santali in the Ol Chiki script, and so on. Many languages across the country, from the hills of the North East to the Deccan Plateau to the plains of the North and North West use scripts that don't share the same name as the language they're being used for.

    So sorry, on the surface level it’s hard for me to tell the difference, I thought it was kind of like a “bubble-font version” of Hindi. Usually I can tell what is Telugu/ Oriya but all the other ones are a little more complicated for me. I’ll try to fix this up maybe in a social media post.

    New Mexico is not exactly named after Mexico in the way you described. The name goes back to the Spanish, who called the region Nuevo Mexico, and I believe it was administered separately from Mexico. We didn't name it like that, the Spanish did.

Because mail is actually a Pokémon held item in which a message can be written and it would be visible to to the person who got that Pokémon from trade. Master balls are preserved for either roaming legendaries or Magikarp.

If you want to know why I'm called Scott here's a wee story: my father is from Dundee, when my mother was pregnant with me they visited the RRS Discovery a ship built in Dundee for antartical research and captained by... ***Drumrolls***... Robert Falcon Scott. And when my mum came down from the boat I started kicking, hence the reason my name is Scott! Anyway I really enjoy your show makes me want to travel more and more! Greetings!

    Rugby union is a very different game to rugby league. Rugby league is missing the entire 8 man scrum with all its intricate rules. It is 'basically the same' in the sense that there are a number of human beings playing a game on a grass field with a ball, but we could make the same cop out distinction between soccer/football and rugby. Um, besides that, big fan of your work! Keep up the excellent geographying!! :D
