It is interegsting how pretty much every territory that Norway has outside of it's mainland is a random, frozen and barely inhabited (if at all) island (and that part of Antarctica, that still is like everything on this list, besides being island), even if those territories are on the other side of the world.

A lot of US states use the same generic design on purpose. The thinking was to place less importance on the individual states and more importance on the union. Basically, they were worried people would identify with their state more so than the 'United States,' thus ideally all the states would have essentially the same flag with the state seal. That's why historically 'independent' or 'self glorifying' states like California, Texas, and the whole south have distinct flags. People in those states historically identify more strongly to their state rather than the country, the very thing a lot of folks were trying to avoid. Of course this is not true for every state with a unique flag, but it's at least a reason for all the boring flags

The Old flag og Denmark shown in the beginning of the video was the flag of the North Sea Empire which controlled Denmark, parts of Sweden and Norway as well as England Like so Drew Can Learn
