You need to set the pitch bend at 30 for drill bends on the MPC
your first day on a MPC is like the first time smoking weed. such a great moment in life 😂
Glad to see young producers are finding out about hardware. I just bought one last week. I still have my MPC 1000. Nothing like punching pads. Much more of your feel goes into the track.

Making beats on a laptop is wack. Most kids these days only learn that way because they can't get gear. They use the laptop mom got them for Christmas, and use free software. And literally, EVERYTHING is trap beats. So boring.
first beat reminded me of antidote

It's fun to see people who have traditionally made music only on the computer try making music with a more tactile way. It really does change the way you create. Sometimes limitations force you to focus on just the sound of the music and how to build something without depending on the software to do it for you. Congrats guys!!! I'm sure there will be more to come as you dig deeper.

You realize that even if you use a daw it doesn’t mean you just click on notes? I use bass/guitar/drumpads/midi keyboard/ to make music on a computer
As a mpc user it’s so dope to see you guys having fun with it
Yo this is so cool! Would love to see more videos with the MPC
Quality , 😎🔥looked like you had so much fun . I love my mpc !
I'm FL Gang to the core but I just purchased the MPC One plus and I'm so excited to try it out...
This is what it’s all about right here! Having fun doing what you love, finding out new and creative ways to keep inspiring yourself and one another, and sharing your experiences with each other is what makes the Producer community evolve, it’s all love! Whether you’re on an iPad, an SP404mkII (both pair perfectly with an MPC!) 😉, DAW or whatever else your using just keep creating and have fun! There’s really something special about being in on your own little world without all the distractions of a full computer. The immediacy of just picking up your MP and chopping up some breaks is no different than someone grabbing up a guitar and playing a few licks, (limitation sparks creativity) you can always bounce your stuff out to a DAW later on for finishing touches if needed but 90% if not all the beat can be done standalone with a more tactile percussive feel! Especially once you start figuring out the plugins provided on the MPC… they’re less visual and more reliant on using your ears but they’re updated continuously. One tip I’d definitely recommend in your workflow is after laying down each new part of your track like with your hats is to 1st put the hats in a keygroup (piano roll) and also to engage and disengage the overdub button quickly before overdubbing each new layer of a track, so if you fumble all you have to do is tap undo once and it will take you back one step at a time instead of losing the whole track! If you go back too far shift plus undo to redo, this makes everything thing run a lot smoother! Also Qlink 2 scrolls backward and forwards through a sequence a bit quicker for previewing your beat, and you can erase a pad out of something while listening by just holding erase and the pad you want to take out at a certain point. Double tapping a button is usually same as holding it with shift for secondary functions. Anyway keep banging on those pads and have fun!
7:05 Naahhh i can't be the only one...💀
Omgggg... my first time with mpc I barely could do 'happy birthday' song! you both smashed it
It was dope to see someone else experience this Transistion. I started out in the late 90s with the mpc 2000… once I came across Fruity Loops 1… I completely stopped using the Mpc2000… it became like and paper weight on my desk…I went from Fruity loops 1 to Fl 20… then I came across a mpc touch 3 years ago which is a completely different experience from the 2000 or Fl… The Mpc is a beast… no reason to use anything else in my opinion
Loved it 🔥🔥🔥🔥

I can tell only from expirience on maschine mk2 it's pretty simple and intuitive. Once you spend a day or 2 with it you can make beats pretty fast there are different features in it but overall workflow it's not that hard. I bet mpc is different in some ways but it's all about hardware experienc over clicking in everything
Great video guys!!!
Geniuses at work ✊🏽

Mine arrives Monday.
Purchasing one next week just play around with. Started with a MPC 2000xl, then fl studio 2 to FL studio 9 before I switched my studio to my office for my magazine. I got to find my Triton though somewhere in storage, cant wait to get back to these moments
Anyone thinking of getting an MPC should definitely go with one of the newer versions. It's not as hard as you think. They do the work for you.
Thats crazy 🔥🔥🔥
lol this is the 2nd time I've subbed to the channel.. Dope stuff my brothers
Nah that’s hard asf bro🤣 we need more videos w the mpc
Fire 🔥💎
I've been using FL and Akai MPCs together since 2012. Matter of fact, I've got FL One Shots and sample packs installed on my MPC ONE.
If u press shift and note repeat it will stay on so u don’t have to hold it down
The boom bap beat is sublime.

MPC Gang !!!
If you overwrite what you just recorded, you can still get it back via pressing shift and rec = “retrospective record”
That second beat is 🔥🔥🔥
I just started using a mpc and its fun but still learning how to use everything and put it all together.
i use maschine mk3 and i must say. getting ideas from your head through the touch of pads with your fingers is magnificent bro. The Feeling Is just out of this world. Much love from South Africa
Bro I love how you did the 808 on the first one! Do you know why my 808s all have a tail?
The Manny 🐐 on a MPC! DOPE
i want to see Jay on it unguided!!!! Respect to you but I really liked it went Jay was just cooking up on his own!!!!!!!!!!
Always wanted to own hardware and the closest I ever got was an sp505 but fml it was so Unco to learn so I got the Maschine, that was awesome to use but was limited bc it isn’t standalone so Akai MPC Live2 will be my next toy to purchase
Now the MPC has got his hands on you, there is no turning back. Now my FL is just for mixing or advance arrangements
Yes. Guess it right 💪🏾
mpc looks like so much fun
Now we are waiting for you to make content in akai mpc format :) banks, midi progressions for MPC...

Well done 👏 Live User here.

i find the mpc to be great at creating loop packs - but i tend to finish the beats on fl studio because it has better sound design and control over exporting or routing. with the mpc - i think you have to be more organized from the first sequence - and have all the sounds that you want to put in before duplicating, atleast for mine. if the tracks are not in the same order as the first sequence - the sound wont export fully.

You have to add all the tracks to one sequence and then copy the sequences to arrange the beat

@@mrsunshine1995exactly..and this believe or not is how alot of producer arrange beats in FL studio as well. For example..chopsquaddj. who also used MPC live 2 . So in a nutshell..you pretty much can do the same thing in the MPC that you can do in FL studio. I myself am a heavy MPC user and extremely heavy FL studio user. Both options have taught me alit about one another 💡

We Need Ocean's VersionToo With MPC❤️
Hey bro, I wanted to ask how did you get your own 808s on your MPC? That is, I can have an 808 loose from a library, but the MPC won't let me activate the Portamento to do Glide, it seems you have it in xpm format, how did you do it?
@AndyMacMPCclub
Жыл бұрын
Hey Bryan, You need to select the 808 sample and send it into a Keygroups. From the Program Edit, you'll see a small piano icon on the top of the touch interface. Press that and it will turn your 808 into a full Keygroups. You can then go into that Keygroups and add glide.

Man idk how new people trying to get into this stuff can afford anything.

The skill set is more important that the tools. Those with skill always figure how to make something good with the tools provided. My skills aren’t that good so I limit myself to tools I can make work.
Plugins paid for mpc?
Lol nah PUT THEM ON A SP404 😮😂😂😂😂😂😂
I know I been trippin I jurist pick a 808 then turn on the 16 levels and try to find the key mannn

I dislike drums and 808s that result from MPC, but i freaking love chopped melodies. Maybe a video where u made melodychops / loops to release 10 loops for a pack? Also why dont you just use the free stock fruityloops plugin 'FPC', you can just put samples to keys on your keyboard and play your keyboard like its a MPC lol
