Way too edited. Changing the final drive ratio and setting up the final drive gears is not something an amateur can do unless they know what they are doing and this video does not show that. Do not attempt it unless you have the training. There is also a fundamental error in Ed's narrative. He changed from a 3.08 :1 ratio to a 3.73:1 ratio. That makes the rear wheels turn slower for a given rpm not faster, but with a greater torque.

Snarl616 Edd stated that his main reason for leaving was the decision to reduce the workshop segments, particularly the bits where he explains what something does, how it works or talking us through a repair / replacement job. He, like many, felt that these were the heart of the show and that this new direction wasn’t one he wanted to go in.

BTW - Mustang's were/are not 'muscle cars' (as Mike was saying). They are 'pony' cars. At most, they are GT cars. Muscle cars are sporty versions of lower-priced, mid-size/intermediate, family-type cars like Dodge Charger's or the old Pontiac GTO or Chevy Chevelle SS. They used to only be two doors - but today they can have more.

EDD was real master mechanic but ANT is not even student mechanic which you see when handling the tools. Even Mike uses tools more professionally than Ant. Ant is an ACTOR who wants to show his face and is just ratcheting tools because it looks cool. And the most awful is that Ant doesn’t wear GLOVES even when changing oils or other liquids which are dangerous today. Real mechanic would use gloves always when dangers exist. EDD was fortune of gold and WD did awful decicion when leaving UK. Americans love show type people like Edd but if you really want to LEARN something, you need Edd. I have been servicing cars for 50 yrs and have learned many really useful hints from Edd. I have all the Edd DVDs and still love to watch them.

Mike said in a interview that Ed never got sacked or fell out with people but if you read between the lines? Ed is probally sick of his position and rank?? Aparantly Ed wanted more time off. Moving to USA, instead of more hrs of filming, he wanted chill out time and beach time. After being with Mike from day 1, Ed must of got eventually sick of Mike being top dog, probally getting less coin, etc. So he started being snappy with colleuges, eventually reaching a point of no return....Oooops!
