Ez is like the painter, Bob Ross, of big trucking mechanics without trying. The guy delivers a great, little introduction into the project and just casually talks the viewer through the entire process. Great stuff. 🇺🇸

I break the tires loose by loosening the lug nuts, then run the truck forward and backwards. It usually breaks the tire free from the hub.

Ezra, I have owned Ford trucks since I was able to drive and sometimes I think I need my head examined, 😂. I refuse to own a Ford truck after the 1997 F350, Superdutys rust out even worse than the OBS trucks, the unit bearing wheel bearings and metric lug pattern are terrible and oil pans rusting is a problem. Up until the 1980 model change, the body panels were galvanized, the oil pan was easily accessible without lifting the engine and I deplore the Ford fuel injection pre MAF for lack of being modification friendly. I still find pre 1980 trucks with less rust up here in the northeast than post 1980 trucks. You're a patient man to own this truck, 😂.

Brilliant idea on using the cooling system pressure tester on the brake fluid reservoir to bleed the brakes. I always add some anti seize between hub and rotor and it helps with the corrosion and the rotor comes off easier. Hope trucking is going good and the rates are decent with fuel on the rise again.

I had to do the fron t axle repair on my 2011 super duty about a year and a half ago. Lots of fun!! If the wheel bearing hub is tough to remove, you can wedge an impact socket (or some kind of spacer) between the backside of the hub and the shock mount (IIRC), and use the power steering to press the hub out. Works like a charm.

I fabbed a bleeder up years ago for the old style master cylinders. An 1/8" piece of rubber glued to a 1/4" steel plate, drilled the holes in rubber and plate. Used a valve stem and a hand pump, 2 big C clamps and boom, Bob's your uncle. Great idea for the coolant tester for the new style reservoirs. Thanks Ezra. Stay safe

I used to see this happen with Dodge B350 Maxi vans (prisoner can with lots of meat in the back) quite a lot. OEM was rivited pads. Heat and vibration would cause cracking across the rivet segments. Then the pads would fall out and drop the pedal to the floor. I forget what brand I ended up switching to, but it was bonded material, no rivets. I’d recommend doing the same here based on what I saw in your video.

I own a hotrod and custom car shop and you would not believe just how many cars come in with bleeder screws on the bottom and most of those cars have expensive vehicle specific disc brake conversion kits which comes with illustrated instructions. Pressure brake bleeding works really well, harbor freight has a new pressure bleeder kit that is supposed to be pretty good. Getting the air out of the abs is the hard part. On many vehicles you have to perform a abs brake bleed with a scan tool. Pressure bleeders have to have enough pressure to open the abs valves.
