Fixing remote control issue with Casablanca fan | Hobby Bobby
Here is a diversion from my normal videos. I was able to fix something, today, so I decided to make a video in case others had the same issue. :) My Casablanca Aris fan would not respond to the wall mounted remote control unit. I was afraid that I needed a new receiver, but I was able to easily fix the issue. This quick video outlines the steps taken to get the fan working in about five minutes.

It worked! My fan kept running and the remote wasn’t working. I couldn’t shut it off even after flipping breaker off and on. I replaced the CR2032 battery and followed the instructions in the video. Thank you very much.

I have the same fan. Got it because I found two Hunter Mariner on a curb and one of them had a motor spark. So I contacted Hunter about it and they let me pick certain new fans and I picked Casablanca Aris (Hunter owns Casablanca) so I got that fan and sent that Mariner back. I still have a working Mariner. The control on mine is different though. It has arrow buttons for speeds and light brightness. Still four speeds though. I have a video showing its first run.

Hey Bobby! I tried this trick and it got the fan started up again but it's still not responding to the remote. Any ideas?

Hi, Melissa. Thanks for checking the video out. I'm not sure what to say, honestly. Mine was fully functional after following the steps I outlined. Aside from checking your battery, not sure what to offer. Sorry... good luck.

Hi, I don't live in that house, anymore, so, unfortunately, I can't check for you. My memory says it's size N, but I may be confusing it with my Intermatic timers. If it's the coin style battery, then I have no idea.
