Hi Jeremy, been a while since I have commented on one of your videos - thanks for putting time into making videos and sharing them. Rather than filling the ultrasonic tank full of your chosen cleaning mixture, fill it with water. Put the parts you want to clean in a zip lock bag and put your chosen cleaning solution into the bag as well. Bag + parts then go into the ultrasonic tank. You contaminate/use up less cleaning solution this way.

Jeremy I like doing stuff like this and you're absolutely right about it not being a practical thing to but I've always enjoyed repurposing things or just bringing old stuff back to life like these vice grips you're doing.. you can take a air tool wire wheel and clean those things up pretty good and then use a high-speed with a cone sanding disc or even a Dremel tool with a sanding disc and you could probably put a little time into it and make those them look practically new again but the handles and jaws and the clamping screw, wouldn't have the original strength to them after doing that much removal of the old decayed metal but they would still be strong enough to use for about anything, you would be using them for anyway...

It's not always about what's practical sometimes it's what's in your heart what I mean is if it's an old tool that belonged to a dear friend or relative, time invested doesn't matter like you said. For many people yes time is all you have moneys tight for many of us have been there myself "sweat equity" is all you have so giving it a go with a free old tool is a worth while try, nothing ventured nothing gained is how I look at it. Then there's the fact a lot of older hand tool's where made back in the day with really good tool steel that new tool's can't come close to, have rambled on to long again; take care.

For me, it's the time it takes to go anywhere to buy anything; if I can fix something in an hour, it's faster than I can make a trip to town... plus gas money... plus the cost of the item I'm deciding to fix. I fix LOTS of things due to that. I recognize that twist in the vise grips as clamping it on something and using a crescent hammer to twist the vise grips... don't ask me how I know! 😁😁

Not sure how else to contact you, but I decided to throw my Hyway Big Bore Popup Piston kit onto my Farmmac F660V. I watched a few Iron horse videos and did a quick clean up on the ports (didn't change anything just cleaned up what was there). I cut the baffle out of the Hyway Dual Port Muffler like you suggested. It was already pretty nasty with the Farmmac Cylinder. The quality of mine left much to be desired. I'm amazed it ran as good as it did. Big score mark around the top of the cylinder you could EASILY feel with your nail. A spot on the bottom transfers that obviously got clearanced by the rings. The Hyway is MUCH better quality. It's even lighter. The fins are thinner on the Hyway. Wish I had a compression gauge. I also lived dangerously. I didn't check the squish. Just deleted the base gasket with the thinnest coat of Honda bond (permatex grey) that I could use. She's still wearing in but it doesn't have a decomp plug. It will rip the cord right out of your hand if you pull and don't mean it.

The name brand of vise grip and the absolute best ones which is the Irwin tools vise grip brand are the only way to go because those Chinese type are not worth a nickel but either the vise grip brand or the Irwin tools vise grip brand will last you a lifetime and that's something we use in collision repair daily and I know there is at least 250 pair and maybe even more in all different shapes and sizes of them at the shop

Jeremy had one more comment and wanted to ask you if you know much about the Poulan Pro timbercut or timber cutting series 3450 chainsaw or the 3500 Pro timber cutting series chainsaw and I had asked on a video a week or so ago and don't know if you seen my comment or not but I've got one of each here recently and it's the first ones I've ever owned in those models but they seem to be a strong saw and were they have such high compression, they are tough to pull the rope and get started because it will yank the rope out of your hand and man it makes the fingers sore when that happens LOL I was wondering if there is something a person could do to make pulling the rope a little easier, like a compression release or anything

@@bellhoppersaws okay and I've learned how to pull the rope out one quarter turn and then let the rope go back in and then pull the rope real quick and it's not so bad like that because that's releasing some of the compression off of the engine first... I was shocked at the power they make and they are a standard 180 ft lbs of compression and even a little more, which I think is great for a small 3 ci. 2 cycle engine...

Quote from New Life newsletter: A Strong Finish I have fought the good and worthy and noble fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith [firmly guarding the gospel against error]. 2 Timothy 4:7 The person who wins the race does not slow down, but speeds up, when nearing the end. When the challenges become more difficult, the winning response is to become more determined. Achievement belongs to those who finish strong. Achievement comes to those who give one hundred percent of the effort required, all the way to the finish line. What does it take to finish strong? It takes commitment and a positive sense of purpose every step of the way. Many people start strong, with lots of enthusiasm. Yet their own complaints and doubts along the way drain them, so that there’s nothing left as they’re nearing the goal. Winners finish strong because they value and appreciate the opportunity to make the effort. Winners finish strong because they carry a strong sense of positive purpose all the way to the finish line. Start strong, stay strong, and finish strong by always remembering why you’re doing it in the first place. Father in heaven, when we feel weak, please give us Your strength. When we want to give up, we ask that You put others in our path that will help encourage us to keep striving. When we’re tempted to finish without giving it our all, we ask that You remind us of the purpose of whatever task we are working on and to do it for Your glory. In Jesus name, AMEN! Many start fast, while few finish strong.

Quote from New Life newsletter: How’s It Growing? Search me [thoroughly], O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts; and see if there is any wicked or hurtful way in me and lead me in the everlasting way. Psalm 139:23-24 Each moment as you move through this world, you are planting seeds. Those seeds are your thoughts. Once planted, they take root and grow into a forest of reality which surrounds you. So how is your forest growing? Is it filled with beautiful, productive flora, growing from a steady stream of positive thought seeds? Or is it filled with gnarled, thorny, tangled vines which hold you back in every direction? The trees that grow depend upon the seeds that are planted. Though each thought is a small, seemingly insignificant thing, once it has passed through your mind it begins to grow into something real and substantial. Each thought combines with the other thoughts that came before it, and the thoughts that come after it, to set the direction of your reality. Even the most secret, hidden thoughts eventually become obvious because of the direction they give to your life. You can decide how to direct your mind, and by so doing you can profoundly affect the reality of your life. Plant row after row of positive, empowering thought seeds, and they’ll grow into a rich and magnificent forest of value and accomplishment. Father in heaven, though many of us may not have the greenest of thumbs, we are all gardeners. Help us to be careful with what we plant today, choosing only good seeds, knowing each one is sure to grow. In Jesus name, AMEN! Your mind is not a cage, it’s a garden. It requires cultivating.

Quote from New Life newsletter: Practice Patience So, as God’s own chosen people, who are holy [set apart, sanctified for His purpose] and well-beloved [by God Himself], put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience [which has the power to endure whatever injustice or unpleasantness comes, with good temper]. Colossians 3:12 Patience is one of the most valuable gifts you can give to others, and to yourself. There is no higher demonstration of love than simply allowing it to be. Patience and confidence go hand in hand. Just as lifting weights will build your muscles, practicing patience will build your confidence, your faith, and the strength of your spirit. The next time you feel the urge to be annoyed with someone, keep in mind that you have a choice. You can choose to be patient. Rather than striving to make others understand, or to make others like you, seek to show patience. Give the golden space of your patience, and understanding, friendship and love will freely flow. Learn to be patient, and you will grow to be strong. Father in heaven, we are grateful today for Your enduring patience. When someone is frustrating us or on our proverbial last nerve, remind us of the grace and patience You show us every day. We will choose to be patient with those around us who need a little extra grace. Whether a person at work, relative or child, help us to put on a heart of compassion and be patient. In Jesus name, AMEN! Sometimes what a person needs is not a brilliant mind that speaks, but a patient heart that listens.

Quote from New Life newsletter: The Right Direction His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’ Matthew 25:23 In every life there is plenty of time and energy available for magnificent success and achievement. Yet too often that energy is wasted on unproductive, negative pursuits. The next time you feel yourself becoming negative, stop and consider what would happen if you applied that negative energy in a positive direction. Imagine what would happen if you simply turned it around and put it to work for you instead of against you. A car that is traveling 70 miles per hour toward the north can be easily stopped, turned around and heading 70 miles per hour toward the south. In the same way, you can control your own time and energy to that it moves you toward your goals and dreams rather than away from them. Instead of bitterly complaining, transform your complaints into useful and productive suggestions. Instead of being envious, transform that envy into positive admiration. Rather than wasting your time with worry, make use of your time with action. Instead of getting destructively angry, become creatively determined. The energy is already there, ready for you to use. Just imagine what can happen when you make sure it flows in a positive direction. Father in heaven, today we ask for Your help to look at our time “check book” and see how we are using our time and energy. For those of us headed in the wrong direction we ask for Your help to make a course correction and get back on the right path. In Jesus name, AMEN! Where you are going to spend your time and energy is one of the most important decisions you get to make in life.

Quote from New Life newsletter: Gift of Joy In everything I showed you [by example] that by working hard in this way you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, ‘It is more blessed [and brings greater joy] to give than to receive. Acts 20:35 Life is best when it is filled with giving. We are, each of us, unique, with our own contribution to make. At the same time, we are part of a greater whole. Giving is what keeps us connected. When we celebrate Christmas today, we celebrate a gift given in perfect love and grace. By giving of ourselves, we experience in a profound and undeniable way the joy of that gift. By sincerely giving, we no longer must merely believe that it is more blessed to give than to receive. By giving of ourselves, we know and experience the reality of that beautiful truth. Give, not to make an impression, not to fulfill an obligation or to repay a debt, but for the sheer joy of doing so. For it is a joy that will spread far beyond you each time you live and experience it. Father in heaven, on the most wonderous day of the year we stop and reflect of the best gift in history, the gift of Your son Jesus. We ask that You would help us to be cheerful givers as well, not just of gifts wrapped in a box with paper, but of love, joy, kindness and patience. Help us to give and gain joy this advent season we pray. In Jesus name, AMEN! The joy of giving is one of the greatest gifts you can receive.
