Background: We are building a house offgrid utilizing an off grid solar power system and rain water harvesting system to supply our home. Living off the grid is new to us as it is to many others. We hope our build will help inspire others to build a home off the grid too. #diy #offgrid #homestead #homeimprovement #howto #construction #homeconstruction

That thing's got more wires than a car!😮

The good thing about filming everything is that I can go back and see what wire goes where if I forget. Thanks for watching.

Can you test the motor with the fan cage removed where you can see if the motor itself is causing the vibration? Might be able to just get a fan.

Maybe. Because the fan was out of balance thanks to the bugs I'd think the bearings are going out.

Starting @2:47 , there's a clicking noise when you touch the fan cage. Wonder if it's tightly attached to the motor shaft. May only be that inner bracket. Might be able to tell better if the motor is reattached to the bracket.

The clicking was the bracket that's between the motor and the squirrel cage. I show that bracket later on in the video.

@5th Journey Off-Grid Homestead I saw that, that's when I added the comment about it, 'cause the noise was the same.

Could you blow it out instead of vacuum? Is there a way to filter the air input?

I could have blown it out but my thought is doing so only pushes the debris around but a vacuum actually removes the debris.

@5th Journey Off-Grid Homestead Thanks, didn't know how airflow was configured. Wondering about in and out flow.

@@paulmonk7820 Oh, you were talking about the fan direction. I thought you were saying that I should blow the debris out instead of vacuuming it out. The fan on the hot water heater blows out but when it isn't being used the bugs crawl up the exhaust tube and get stuck in the fan.

@5th Journey Off-Grid Homestead Also, there's a note on one parts website that the v65ip was discontinued back in January by Rinnai.

Thanks for for watching, glad you liked it. The XP Pro is doing fine. We haven't really had any issues with the solar system.
