Fixing Everything Wrong with my Cheap Nissan Truck

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

After picking up this Nissan Truck for an absolute steal, I need to fix some of the issues that made it so cheap in the first place. I've set myself a low budget for all the parts and work but can I resolve all the issues and still have the ultimate BARGAIN Truck???

    If you have a snapped off bolt and a welder next time just weld a new head to the stud and back it out. less heat into the body panel or frame = less rust in the future. Love the do it yourself approach you have keep up the fantastic work.

    So what were the error codes that lead you to the conclusion to change the Turbo actuator? As for the broken off bolts for the step you could just have welded bolts onto the studs and wrenched the studs out rather that all the fabrication and welding work with 3 new mounting plates! All in all a good job!

  • @Ratarossa

    @Ratarossa

    4 жыл бұрын

    I did my research on the lack of power and it all pointed to the actuator (slightly different between the euro 4 and euro 5 engine) as one of the high possibilities. the easiest test was to squeeze pipe and rev the car, if its working correct it will pressuize the pipe and force your hand apart ....it didn't, which indicates the actuator is faulty. The mounting issue with the bolts was most were snapped either flat or inside the bolt shaft which would have been impossible to weld a bolt onto, especially given the limited access. They were also cheap bolt that had seized solid.

    I would definitely put your pressure washer inside holes in frame to clean it out. It almost looked like he had a battery spill in back bed with the strong rust. You'll know if it starts rusting through the paint in a week. I clean all rust, rinse thoroughly with water, and then make a soupy baking soda and water mix. Scrub it into the battery tray or wherever acid was spilled. Rinse again and rub on paste mix, let dry. Brush all off and rinse, seems to stop further corrosion

    Hi, i have 2006 navara, bought it from a friend but it and I are not in the 🇬🇧. I keep seeing a little wrench along with some numbers on my dash. Any idea what it is? And no he didn't have an owners manual when he shipped it

    It's the oil change reminder light. It's usually reset at oil changes by the dealer or stealer and you can Google how to reset it...

    Great truck! Jealous! What did the truck cost? Would like to own one. (but too expensive in Netherlands) And was wondering why you don’t use a OBD2 reader to do a simple troubleshoot test on your vehicles? Nowadays you can buy very affordable wifi/bluetooth readers on aliexpress, costs maybe 15 euros.

    bren70sss s Wow, good deal, also jealous of the car collection. Cool you make videos about Ferrari maintenace, a big help for owners I think. So they don’t have to spend gigantic amounts on normal maintenace on their car.
