Fixing a Grintek TR178B with TX fault

Ойын-сауық

I was really happy after I repaired the AGC and the S-meter issue on my Grintek. So I started to build a battery and all. I tried 24V to test the hi power (20W) and something stressed up the radio. Suddenly I had no power. This video shows the process to find out the fault. Clearly tantal caps are usually guilty, and this was the case.
I am not a professional, just a guy that loves tinkering. I had a lot of help from many ham friends, specially Jose, I am really grateful to him. I hope you find this useful.

Great job finding the faults! I appreciate that you show so many steps and details rather than jumping to the fix immediately. 73!
