Thank you for showing us the underside of car seat. I suspect this is all that's wrong with my seat now. I'm between jobs right now so saving money fixing my car's seat is perferable to buying a new one. I'm very grateful for this video; thank you so much!

This is great, The repairs from amazon have some spring wires to share the load between the springs...

Move the spring around, stretch the broken spring and place it right near the front of the seat - which usually carries less weight.

I'd have welded a small piece of steel to that whole U shape of the spring to support that one bend.

I’d be surprised if it held up for any length of time as spring steel loses its strength as soon as its welded.

Richard Vega haha yea man. Sorry this was early in the video process. Wasn’t that good It has not broke again and is still going One little weld and put it right back I used the Lincoln handycore flux core process The welder is great for small jobs wish I would have went bigger Story of my life right. Lol Setting not sure man. Prob maxed out I don’t usually turn it down. It’s a small 110 plug welder Appreciate the view If you ever need anything welded like this just send it to me I’ll tack it back for you no prob.

Richard Vega haha yep. I also tied not to get too much heat in the spring to weaken it. I just did a quick tack on two sides

I wonder if we can add some jb weld around the weld that would surely bulletproof any future failure although a weaker site might fail

Richard Vega yea couldn’t hurt for sure They sell replacement spring I almost bought some from this project They have all different waves and measurements and sizes You just cut it to match your seat spring That was my next move if this failed Yep jb weld never hurts.
