It’s a common problem, I’m so glad it helped!
Ahhh. So nice to find the perfect spring repair video after scanning a bunch of amateur videos. Excellent explanation, video, audio, and done in four minutes. A thousand likes for you. Thank you!
We received this in the mail today! The packaging was fine, no damage during shipping thank goodness! The construction was very simple kzread.infoUgkxXH3jIpsn6vpr3D26KWAriUejh7CSxVp7 , the bottom rocking part and the ottoman were already put together for us which is nice!As for the actual quality, the wood seems fine.. Not too cheap but maybe not the quality you would find in a store for 400$. However, it is still sturdy and feels secure. I've only had it for one night, so of course no squeaking yet.. But if it does squeak it could be easily oiled. The cushions are comfy, and made of a suede like material. Obviously with time these cushions will probably wear and tear.. But for the price of the chair it is still worth it just to go out and buy new cushions that fit in the future.Overall I am very satisfied, I was a little worried after reading some reviews and looking through the photos, but I'm happy I bought it! Obviously it's not a heavy-duty chair, but with care I'm hoping it will last a while.
Thanks. I had no idea this was something we could do ourselves. You’ve saved a sofa from the landfill!
Thank you! I was able to repair my sofa thanks to your video.
I had the same issue. The difference was the spring hooks were still attached. 5 of the 6 were simple to reattach. Thank you for this video and saving me a serious headache.
I had a sunken seat on my sofa, had know idea if/how to fix it! Watched this video and cut open bottom. The spring system was the same. The bracket hadn't broken, it had come away from the frame! I nailed it back on and it's as good as new. Thanks, your video was of great help.

Always a pleasure to see your smiling face no matter what's getting repaired.
This is the best video I have watched that explained in a simple manner how to repair the spring in my couch. Thank you much !
Wow I watched a ton of videos and this is the one I actually needed 😂 I found a fairly new L shaped couch and I’m pretty excited about fixing it.
Hey Amie, You can buy regular "repair clips" that are pretty good. A screw is better than a nail, too. (I do this for a living) Have a good one!

That’s a great little instructional video. You’ve shown how easy it can be. Thanks. Unfortunately I have a recliner that is a little more hard to get to but the basis is the same.

I had already asked the landfill how much they wanted for a couch. My friends think I'm a fool for getting rid of a seemingly good couch. Time to flip this thing over. Thanks for sharing 🙏

You have to pay in US for leaving your junk at the dumpster?

@@leob4403 You bring it to the town landfill for a fee, or you pay a fee for them to pick it up to junk it for you. Nothing free in the US.

Love your site. I have learned so much. I am going to reupholster an old sitting chair. Could you do a video on tufted backs? Hope I am not getting in over my head🙃
THANKS, all the clips are under the chair and I didn't realize you could just put the replacement clips on the outside! Now I need to find out how to take the clip off that's still attached to the jute and wire because my spring has snapped in half and I need to remove it.
Thank you so much.

Would have liked to see you replace the dust cover.

Great video Amy, thanks! Any thoughts on how to repair a broken rod the springs are connected to on the bottom of an Ethan Allen armchair? This rod is 6 gauge or so.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I did not know how I was going to secure the spring under that board. After watching your video it was easy.
