Add a little white lithium grease to the top of the shaft and you should have no issues getting the agitator off.

Dear Sir. I have the same washer that I want to get working. I plugged it in a month ago to see if it would run and it popped a breaker. Does yours have the original pulg with 2 prongs. I wish I could post a photo. I really want to get this machine working again. Thanks

Apologize for the delayed response, haven't been on here in a bit. If memory serves, it has a replacement cord end but the original cord which would be 2 wire. we plan on replacing it with a longer grounded (3 prong) cord with an inline switch so we don't have to unplug it to shut it down. The extra (green) wire will go straight to the motor case. Towards the end of the video with the machine laying on it's side you will see a small plate on the bottom of the motor. Inside there is the cord connection. I would look in there first to try and find your issue. Make sure the machine is unplugged and remove the cover. If the issue is there, it should be obvious. While your in there, replace the cord if the connection is the issue. If you are not 100% comfortable doing this type of work, then find someone who is to help you. water and electricity are no to be trifled with.
