Deleting the Blizzard Entertainment folder, then just using the locate installation option worked perfectly for me. Crazy how a guy on KZread has figured out how to fix the game before Activision or Blizzard could give us a fix. Many thanks to you

Very clear on the instructions, you take your time and their is no rushing. Thank you and i'll test out the methods on Warzone. Before the Pacific map update, there wasn't any issues with this error, but after the Pacific update I can't play Warzone. Maybe the issue is on the map changes or the games client. But you helped alot!

Any tricks to stop the game crashing though? I play for 10 mins or so and boom, not even when theres a big explosion or any massive use of Gfx ram or the like. Very frustrating.

@@yourmomsahoe69 I've played on reduced gfx settings on my Nvidia Experience. Fps is above 60 but and not a great experience with the low settings. No crash as yet but I feel its just toying with me

@@iamjeller3362 on pc, I gave up. On xbox you have to get an xbox live subscription to join this free game that does not require xbox live... I expect you have tried erasing the MW folder in my documents? That used to work.

There is another solution: Click on settings(next to play) go to show in explorer, click on the modern warfare file, go all the way down until you see modern warfare launcher below that you will see another modern warfare right click on that and click to run as administrator and that should solve your problem.

@@geopg. it ended up not working at all, it just loaded the loading screen then kicked me completely. But I just uninstalled everything including my battle net and reinstalled the game and it works now.

@@Champagnemami412 Deleting and reinstalling didn’t work for me at all. Black ops and vanguard are working properly but warzone only when I open with administrator rights. Glad to hear everything is working for you! Join the warzone company if you like.

Best tutorial ive ever seen

I fixed it. Rename the installation folder as he says on the video with backup at the end of it. Open the activation launcher and you will see INSTALL instead of play - DO NO RE-INSTALL. Close the luncher and delete the backup word from the installation file you named earlier - open the activation launcher again and enjoy the game
