    1. Converse saved my toes from being crushed by a 45lb plate 2. Steel toes are not designed to cut your feet. Total myth. 3. Barefoot is amazing as much as possible! Great show

Hey mate, im curious what exercises you did to strengthen your acl when you went through the acl reconstruction. Also did you find a way to build your quads while recovering, i find it too much to hit weighted squats though im a year or two post injury

I am a US Physical Therapist. 1-2 years after ACL reconstruction is plenty past where you need to be particularly careful with your knee. If it hurts to do WEIGHTED squats but not unweighted, it’s a load tolerance issue. Solution: expose your knee to more load slowly over time. Zero pain is not the expectation, but definitely don’t push your knee so much you can’t do it again in 2 days. If it hurts to do all deep knee bending you need to expose yourself to that first until your knee can bend well without pain then increase the load. However, don’t do ZERO squatting in this time, just don’t expose yourself to HEAVILY increasing loads through new ranges of motion until your knee bend is comfortable. Then slowly expose yourself to increasing load through the range of motion If you are not making progress with 2-3 days a week of squatting after a month or two, see your surgeon
