Lost confidence in Samsung when my s20 ultra 5G, gone white and green, after software upgrade gone white and green screen, only 6 mths usage, under warranty but they said I still to pay for the fixtures if parts especially the screen have to be replaced. Years of loyalty to Samsung gone to drain. Just bought Vivo V2e, because couldn't afford another expensive phone, Vivo have my respect, easy to use,almost have same functionality as my previous S20. Don't trust this Korean product anymore. Their own software caused the problem to their own products but running away from their obligations and responsibilities. Samsung give you 5 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

Same issue on S20 plus just after waranty end, appered in front of me while typing msg seems like manufacturing defect by them but still samsung service center is asking 16k to change the display.

Same! I have been faithful to Samsung Note series since Note 3. But during my Note 9 and Note 20 I have encountered this same problem!! I just can't trust it anymore. I can't be confident about it, I keep worrying about it, it's not worth it. So I just switched brands. Obviously to the number 1 brand of course. Now I know why they are number 1

Clearly it is caused by contamination on the joint, all AMOLED screens produced by samsung suffer from this connector failure. This includes iphones so there is nearly nowhere to run really if you buy an expensive flagship. Screen dies quickly under moist and high ambient salt conditions. You may get an LCD version of the iphone instead. It is infuriating that samsung can produce screens this fragile in tens of millions per year, and profit from its fragility for over 7 years. Screen looks great and have great performance, but no long-term durability. The joint is way too delicate and small that chemical contamination will eventually damage it. Samsung know this but they never attempted to fix it. This is what you get when you have a monopoly on the technology. I hate the brand since I had one of their CD-ROM drive broke within 2 years in the 1990s. Their products are definitely not built to last, but designed to fail once warranty period is over.

Just got the white screen issue too. I bet Samsung does it on purpose to force you to upgrade to their new phone. My S7 died around the same time but had a different issue (motherboard failure), S9+ screen issue also and now my S20+. Safe to say I won't ever buy a Samsung phone again.

They use some cheap ass flex cable just so our phone becomes bricked after warranty. Been loyal Samsung customer for 8 yrs safe to say I'm now looking at other brands for my future purchases after this happened to my phone.

From Indonesia, some fix works for me Bought second really good, clean & okay s20+ for around 5 Juta idr ($310) , show always on display I set off to make it have better battery life, then go to sleep and.. Tomorrow ... suddenly flick every half an hour or more or even less. Randomly So i Update... Still error even change settings to lower res and frequency Then updated security or whatever it's, I set show display on, , show clock always. It helps to solver the problem Found this solutions from Samsung forum as many complaining there about this. After long, I don't show the clock. Still fine, but honestly... I prefer s10+ seems less problem in screen at all, even other phone as that cheaper redmi, realme I use doesn't has this... Heart attack problem.. I hope this helps. And I hope this fix will be forever okay for each of us.. As that this phone is really expensive if bought new.. 🙏

Same Problem with my S20Plus. After 1 year and 9 Months usage. Replacing the display is very expensive 40% of the cost of the phone. Its very disappointing. We pay extra and buy Samsung phone because we think its durable. Guess Samsung is also like cheap quality Chinese phones. I will never buy a Flagship Samsung phone again.

I am facing the Display issue with my Samsung S20 Ultra phone. I got a software update notification for Android 12. After the update, my phone screen becomes bright white color and starts blinking. When I visited Samsung service center they are saying need to change screen and have to pay for that since my phone is out of warranty (Two month ago expired) and even they were saying we are aware about this issue but you have to pay full amount. I'm super disappointed such expensive phone is ruined by a software update.

same here. I just installed the august 2022 update and first the screen blinked adn then after 2-3 days of blinking and flickering it now green with very close horizontal lines (either remaining static or moving in up/down wave like motion.)

same with my s20+ .. it went white/stripe screen for about 2 hours... i search online how to fix the prob (using my laptop)... then found this video... watch it like 3min.. surprisingly my phone screen back to normal... i really dont knw what causes the prob... but i hope this prob wont happen again... i had use Note 4, S7+ S9+ never face this prob...

Saya pun mengalami hal yg sama, saya guna selama 5 bulan Samsung S20 Ultra, garansi tinggal 7 bulan, pada bulan yg lalu mengalami Green scren, saya biarkan selama 5 hari dalam keadaan hidup. Akhirnya pulih sendiri, tapi setelah itu saya kirim ke pihak servis swlama 1 minggu untuk mengecek sistemnya, sepulangnya dari pihak servis, 1 minggu kemudian HP mengalami problem hitam putih, saya cuba panaskan pakai Headlayer, akhirnya normal kembali sampai saat ini.

I'm lost with the flex cable. Did you use a replacement flex cable to bond to the screen or did you cut and re-bond the existing halves of the flex cable?

So i went to another repair shop after i heard she told charge of repairing my S20± LCD screen damage she told me hk$ 2,5,00.oo 😁😁 So one day after was my holiday so i thought let me try myself so i FORMAT my s20± after format of my mobile everything became normal all okay . So guys becareful

I have the same problem with my S20 Ultra. I bought it new in 2020, and thought I would be able to keep it for at least 5 years. Guess I will be moving over to IPhone.

Is there anyway of fixing this white screen problem without replacing the flex cable. Cant we just look for the defective components on the flex cable and replace it rather than replacing the whole cable which is quite expensive and laborious...

Here in Jakarta Samsung charged IDR 2.500k (160 USD) to replace the OLED of my S20 ultra. Greenscreen appeared just after 1 mo of warranty expired. I indeed got ripped. Enough, I'll NEVER let samsung take my money again.

If your phone did not hit anywhere you don't need to repair the screen, firstly deactivate custom service, restored the phone factory settings keep the phone at home for 3 to 5 days check it back after then it will work perfectly though the flicker might not stopped once bit you will get a positive result it worked for me

This is a problem with Samsung pcb. It slowly starts t9 separate from screen area. It is a known issue since Note 3 & S7 edge

This is also happening from Galaxy S10 to Galaxy S21 and will probably also happen to the S22. Samsung is loosing thousands of customers because of this including me, I'll never gonna buy a "Samsuck" again

@@mda2871 yes. From green flickering screen to now completely white. I’m sad. If I can’t recover any of my data and files I will never again buy a Samsung product. It started doing this after a software update that I tried to block. I’m so mad at myself for never backing up to a cloud source and I bought 512 gb like a fool. Devastated. Did you try taking it to a shop ? I will try tomorrow at an authorized Samsung repair store. The IT man at my job was trying to troubleshoot on the pc and it didn’t recognize the my device. Nothing ! Sad about my data. 3 phones of info on there. The 3, 7 edge and s10 +. I’m done with Samsung.
