Holy crap! This is not anywhere in the owners manual. I read the whole stinkin' thing! My Accord is six years old but only has 25,000 miles on it. I saw this indicator and thought well OK six years is about the life of a regular battery so I replaced the car battery. The indicator went away. Gaaaah! The indicator came back a month after the battery was replaced, but somehow this time I found your video. Forehead slap! Thanks for posting - you just saved me a bunch of hassle. What an easy fix!

A million thanks. My husband went to see what I was talking about, But...he used HIS key instead of mine and everything was fine. 😅😂 He thought I was seeing 👀 things. So I decided to look online, and golly by gosh, I got my answer. Had he used MY key, he would have experienced what I was. Thank you again. Happy New Year🎉

Same thing is happening with my Honda CRV 2016. I switched to my spare keyfob (which I never used) and it still blinks. I will say I did use a key fob RFID signal blocker at one point over my fob. I no longer use because it did not work properly. Since i removed it, i noticed the key battery light did start blinking afterwards. Not sure if this is a coincidence or not.

same problem with my 2015 CRV. Both keys. Flashing low battery sign will not go out.

oh no your airbag, i had something similar happen to me when i tried to use a heatgun to recess the emblem in. had to buy a new airbag cover :(

I changed my battery it stayed off for about two days. It started again.

Unrelated, but have you had any issues with excessive oil consumption? I have a 2014 and it's been an issue.

It sounds like it could be the PCV Valve. It's a cheap fix if it works, good luck.

Check your valve cover gasket for leaks (you can see in some of my videos how it's greasy around the engine) Engine also can burn the oil since it's thinner

What happens if you change the battery with a new one and the light doesn’t go away?

I have a 2016 Honda CRV touring edition and the icon light turn on because I had to replace the key fob battery. I already replaced the battery but it still keep flashing can you please help me? Thanks

Honda defects people are going to stop buying honda, locksmith are possibly the only help if they can.

Replaced battery, light is still flashing ? Any thoughts. Old battery was 2.97 volts

On my car, the remote that was low was the one attached to my spouse keychain. So, check both remote.

​@@DIYCarModz yes, same thing is happening with my key right now. Brand new battery, fob works fine but battery light and beeping persists.

That's pretty cool how the car knows your remote battery is low.

now what if I put a new battery in and the light won't go off 🤷

I would check both remote. The remote that was causing the issue was the spare remote that my gf had. Also verfiy that the battery was properly installed. There is a + and - side of the coin battery.

I wish I would’ve saw this before calling AAA and buying a new battery 🤬

What if the key fob battery has just been replaced the light is back on the tachometer?? Key fobs are a scam.
