here is the Fix For the DLC as well by Vargias on steam Shut down Steam Completely and open in your Steamapps and programfiles where WOFF is installed and find this file appmanifest_552700.acf then add this to your file under Auto update behavor "AutoUpdateBehavior" "1" "AllowOtherDownloadsWhileRunning" "0" "ScheduledAutoUpdate" "0" "InstalledDepots" { "552701" { "manifest" "1322519644245016852" "size" "54650336" } "552702" { "manifest" "4274038142267448917" "size" "12162956393" } "896680" { "manifest" "-1" "size" "0" } } "SharedDepots" { "228985" "228980" "228990" "228980" } "UserConfig" { "language" "english" } "MountedConfig" { "language" "english" } } then make the file readonly recommend using Notepad++ Warning this will make it so steam always thinks the game needs to be updated not the case Run the game AS ADMINASTRATOR from its directory and the DLC should work recommend making a desktop shortcut and setting in the shortcut settings Run as admin

This makes the game open for me an i'm very thankful for that, but now there's 2 new issues: 1. My game refuses to load the Maxima upgrade dlc at all and is stuck as version 1.01 2. My game save is completely gone! Any ideas on how to fix this one?

Thank you for this fix. I've just decided to play the game again, and the crashing was confusing me (as I'd just bought and installed the DLC, so I thought it was a problem with that) Hopefully the level crash you mentioned won't happen, or there'll be a fix by the time I get to that part lol

@@Roxas997 i still have another problem of that sort tho... idk man whenever i try to play this game on my new pc i find this ''㔵㜲〰'' in the blocknote of the local files aswell as i couldn't see the ''Authenticated users'' so all i could do is tick up the fillings in the properties and run the game as admin not normally on steam :(

Mine also have something about "All application packages restricted" among "Group or user names:" part... i have no idea what is this or how to get rid of it... Everything else seems ok... but anyway, didn't work for me... maybe because of that "All application packages restricted" thing.

The all applications and restricted applications we found out is only a laptop thing

If you go into advanced settings on the security page, select the "all application packages restricted" and then press disable inheritance. Then you will be able to remove it. Don't know if it fucks something else up.

I hate when almost every FF game on Steam is just not working, like why TF would I buy a game and it's ending up not even running, and then you have to search a way for it to work. so stupid. thanks for that video though.

we believe the "all application packages" and some other options in the permissions tabs may only appear on some laptops and desktops if it doesnt show for you do not panic it should still work with these fixes

it should be when you right click WOFF.exe theres a Security Tab if your rightclicking the desktop shortcut it will not show it will only show in its directory properties Steam then rightclick world of final fantasy Manage then browse local files the Security tab is on the WOFF.exe properties

In the local files, after using properties, I just have the following windows: General, Compatibility, Digital Signature, Details and Previous Versions. I am the only user of my computer if it can help. I feel dumb. xD

Just make a notepad call it steam_appid.txt and in the note pad type 552700 then save it in the directory of WOFF to be perfectly honest dont really know if it makes a effect

The all application package is a laptop only thing if you dont have it on your lapto go to properties then security tab there should be a add button to add additional users and security to boot the game

you need to create the Steam)api64. txt and put in the games Steam id in the text doc

But actually i think i'm already good since i'm having version MX 1.00 and it seems MAXIMA is working (actually i just fixed the game so i didn't play yet and have no clue if my game is orking with or without the MAXIMA extension)
