i just turn off pc flip power switch so pc receive no power hold power button and hold power button to flush caps, then turn on pc it works for some reason.

@@bharatthami5008 take out the cable and put it back if it doesn't work then do this, connect your pc it shows the ip thing then what you have to do is reset the router so go to your router and don't just take out the power what you have to do is press the button which says "reset" on top of it hope this fixes your problem

Careful if unsinstalling the network driver, you will need a second device with internet connection to download the drivers from.

When you're updating drivers you can check to see what drivers you used before in the "events" tab .. then right click the driver in device manager and show more drivers, choose the one that events showed last ..

This worked for me the first time, so thank you. Subscribed and liked.

Though it wasn't without issues....at the point where you said the PC would show "network connected", mine still showed "unknown network"...and prior to that when you walked me thru the CMD commands, I wasn't getting any IP address assigned to the PC at all where you were.....still I muddled thru.... I went thru all your steps thru replacing the driver and....NOTHING! Then I remembered that when I first started having the issue, I turned my virus protection (AVAST) to "offline mode" thinking that would somehow help disable AVAST for the fix....WRONG!!! Once I turned this mode OFF again, all was well! Your calm, cool presentation style helped greatly! Thanks much!!!!

For those of you who do not have a second computer, just tether your phone to the PC via USB or Bluetooth tethering to download the drivers to that troubled machine. Also it's always a best bet to watch a video through all the way before following the instructions folks.

I did all the steps... Then i fixed my problem by installing new driver.. thanks for the option..

@Britec09 hi, I appreciate the effort you put into making a tutorial to help others. Unfortunately for me in my windows 10, once I followed the first two steps, my network status hasn't been working at all, like if it is "Not connected" no matter what I do. And I keep getting an error code "The operation failed as no adapter is in the state pernissible for this operation" once I use the command prompt at 3:46. And it's like my Network Adapter is completely curropted, like it has the symptoms of my Ethernet cable being disconnected, but the lights in the port light up good, and I retired everything, then tried a different approach, where I reseted the computer, turn it off for a while, got the program "driveridentifier" did an offline scan, installed the new drivers that it recommended for me about the Network Adapter, then I repeat all of the steps with the new Network Adapter drivers and still no luck :p I'm not sure what to do anymore, I'm sorry to bother you, but may you lend me your assistance please? :)

I use the short way, in w7 , modify nic parameters, if ip assigned, then turn to dhcp, if dhcp, then i assign an ip to see it connects. then shutdown pc, restart. assign dhcp or fixed ip depending. that's it. cheers!

I’ve had this problem multiple times and it continues to occur every so often. I’ve fixed it myself through various methods. The easiest fix I found was contacting my ISP and having them guide me through the process of re connecting me to the internet. Hope this helps someone in the future that also haves this problem. :)

@@najamsci2460 Do you have a working phone you are able to use? and do you pay for your internet services? If yes, I suggest getting a hold of your "ISP" (i.e. Rogers, Bell, etc) and having them guide you through the process of re connecting to the internet. It may take an hour or two on the phone depending on your situation, and the agent you speak with, but overall they should be able to find success in fixing your problem, and getting you back online.

That's definitely odd, but like I said, I recommend getting in touch with your ISP if you have access to your modem/router and having a technician guide you through the process of re enabling your ethernet connection. Sometimes it's just better to ask a professional for help, and I am by no means a professional.

@@ZoneDiem I turned off my computer and unplug the router for 5mins and rechecked ipconfig /all in cmd. The default gateway ip is missing. I end up turning off the pc, power down the router and unplug both (TP-LINK ) powerline adapters. Did a power down reset making sure there's good connection. Plugged everything in and it started working again.

This is usually a router issue and simply unplugging it for 30 seconds or so should take care of it

PrinceWULFE did you make sure to run it under admin? If it happens under admin it might read “no operation can be performed on Ethernet while its media is disconnected” then you gotta troubleshoot other solutions

bro if you are connected to router with LAN cable just put LAN cable in WLAN spot on your router.THen your pc will say something ''allow new ethernet bla bla'' you click yes and you will have ethernet once again.That worked for me after 3 FUCKING HOURS of youtube tutorials and none worked.All of ussuden i tried wlan and worked.

I’m not sure what to do at this point, I’ve tried 3 Ethernet cables, reset my pc, took it into a pc repair place and it worked completely fine there, but at home my computer is the only thing that can’t stay connected to the internet, we’ve tried the Ethernet cables on other computers and it works, and everyone else has no issue with the internet.

@@ZoneDiem what i have to do to make my pc work is unplug the cord from the router for like 20-30 seconds and put it back in, unplugging it from the wall and resetting it didnt work, if i dont unplug it for about 30 seocnds, then i cannot connect to the internet, hope this helps.

Just unplug everything for like 30 mins, replug and run troubleshooter

How do I know when the 'ipconfig/renew' command is finished? It just says Windows IP Configuration, but no command prompt.

eventually it will say something else. mine timed out tho :/

whenever i try and click properties it says that there is an unexpected error, what should i do to get around that

When i typed in ipconfig/ release "an error ocurred while releasing interface ethernet: An adress has not yet been associated with network endpoint." What i do?
