When i try installing rom through sd card its shows error 1 , and it fails , based on some research that i did its seems like its them boot.img file that bot doing its jib correctly.

yes it really helps but the title is wrong but i think i will do it like this instead of disabling encryption, or by sd card

Nice and very clear guide. Can we also use Orange fox instead of TWRP since it is more advanced of the two.

This is not a fix, this is a workaround. We need a way to actually decrypt the device. Edit: I actually found two different files that can be flashed that will let your device run unencrypted if anyone wants them. I believe Osmosis wrote most of the code for both flashable zips.

I have just unlocked my bootloader. I have installed twrp but it reverts back to the stock recovery after my first use. I also have those jumbled letters of folders in my twrp. Can I use the 2nd method to install ancientos? I currently have the stock MIUI rom. I just want to ask if there is any additional steps that I need to make. I have a xiaomi mi9t/redmi k20 global version. Thanks in advance. 🙏

After you have installed twrp, do not reboot in system because the stock recovery would be restored again but just restart in recovery again.

At last you formatted the data, that exactly we don't want to do for which data needs to be not-encrypted. It's not a fix to keep the data not-encrypted so that no need to format data every time we flash rom. Sorry, you did not address the problem.

@@rockatansky. depends upon the data is encrypted or not. If encrypted, there is no way to flash the new rom without formatting the data partition. If flashed, it will not boot up. If not encrypted, you only need to delete (not format) the data before flashing new rom. That does not delete the contents of your internal memory (where all your download and media files are stored).

wow I thought your video is just another clickbait but after I turn off screen lock and enabled usb debugging, TWRP didn't ask me for password. So, it was asking for my screen password -_-

nope. it never asked for your password. I tried that with my screenlock being a pin lock (I had evolutionX 12) and in twrp I tried putting my pin, and it didn't work. the phone was encrypted though

COULD NOT MOUNT DATA IN THE MOUNT PARTITIONS SETTING IN RECOVERY ORANGE FOX. STEPS - BOOT INTO RECOVERY - TWRP/ORANGEFOX - GO TO MENU - CLICK ON THE SETTINGS ICON ON TOP RIGHT - CLICK ON GENERAL - UNCHECK - *use rm -rf instead of formatting.* - GO TO FORMAT DATA AND TYPE YES - REBOOT BACK INTO RECOVERY. NOW YOU CAN MOUNT DATA. HOPE THIS HELPS😁
