    have a hp ENVY 4500. It's a few years old but just took it out of the package. It's essentially brand new. It's printing about every other line good, with the other lines heavily distorted or missing altogether. Ran an alignment, which came out successful. But still printing bad.

    I've been dealing with streaks in all my prints after I installed a new instant ink cartridge. I've aligned multiple times and I've cleaned the printheads multiple times (via your app). It's all completely useless. Still loads of streaks. Best of all, these operations suddenly adds +1 to my use in instant ink, which they did not do before. Usually I can print 50 pages per month no problem, but this new cartridge cost me 12 pages, and it didn't help at all.

    I am also guilty of buying a HP printer, out of the box and 1 hour later still trying to get this piece of rubbish to work, same problem alignment. I have tried everything, the next steep is either run over it, or throw it in the swimming pool. it should not have to be this difficult.

    Mine is printing stuff crooked and on top of that, now Everytime I print something, it stops halfway and tells me their is a paper jam when there isn’t, but I don’t really mind because this is a $1,569 printer that I got for free because I just found it inside an abandoned building I was exploring

    @@HPSupport that's a pretty shitty answer when the guy has just watched the same video you requested and his problem still persists! I'm having an alignment issue and I've watched this video and tried all the steps and still have the same problem. It shouldn't be this difficult!

    I too have a very persistent alignment error on my HP Envy 7800. Multiple attempts to realign via touchscreen and from the "alignment error" page on HP's website went nowhere.

    I just changed the black ink cartridge in my HP 4650. This was a week ago. Ever since I changed the cartridge, which I've done many times over the years, the printer suddenly forces me to waste ink, paper, and time on page alignments and scanning. Not just once or twice, but every damn time. Just out of the blue. Figured it was a nefarious update.

    I just bought the HP Desk Jet 2725 printer and I can't even connect it to the internet/wireless network through the app!! Let alone even fix the alignment issues. My printer does print, but it also has connection issues when I need it most. And when the prints do come out, the image is not even centered correctly! I need this printer for my business....might have to get a new one..

    Hi, thanks for the video. However it still won’t align. It’s weird because all the colours print except for Black and I’ve only ever used real genuine Hp ink from Ryman’s. I think the issue is the alignment that’s why the black ink it’s working. What do you suggest I do now?

    Hi there, I recently bought HP Printer DeskJet 4120e and I did manged to set up. However, printer works perfect but at the information icon, the red light is on and also exclamation mark is displaying on small display. I am completely fed up and tried many ways.     @@HPSupport In that document, it says Error Icon is for bo papers in tray. However, that is not my issue and most of the questions are about fault code and blink lights. In my printer there is no fault code or either the info icon light is blinking. It stays red and even fault is not showing up in the HP smart app. I hope you understand what I mean. Thanks!!

    I have a DeskJet 3755 and whenever I try to run the alignment (Words and lines are doubled when I print) it spits out a black and white alignment paper and tells me the alignment isn't finished then freezes the app. I have done just about everything beyond servicing the printer.

    I've the same issue. Just bought the Envy 5010 and the Alignment page created during installation is crooked about 1 Degree. Cant solve this, no matter what I do.

    @@HPSupport Your answer is just a *copy/paste* thing and doesn't aswer the or solve the issue here. Is that what you mean with *HP Support* ? My printer is brand new, it's the 2nd because the first Printer had the same issue. I just can't print a straight alignment page. It's always crooked about 1mm. I tried different papers from your company btw. Please look into it.

    I’m having the exact same issue it’s happened with my original printer, couldn’t solve it so was sent a replacement. The same issue is happening with the replacement. I’m so upset as I really need it to work.

    I tried all these steps and mine is still cutting off the page. I got pen alignment status fail on a report I printed out. Also I print the alignment report and it is cut off, and it won't scan the alignment page. My ink was just about brand new, now it has dwindled to nothing trying to test all these theories out! I am wasting so much paper and ink on this, really upset and don't know what to do.

    I have the HP ENVY 7830. I run a business from home in which I print my artwork out - I had a crooked printing issue with my first model which would not fix no matter what I tried, tried everything customer support told me and nothing worked. So, they sent me a replacement printer which I was really grateful for. However, it’s having the exact same issue. I am a student and I’ve wasted countless pieces of paper and ink on trying to sort this issue and I can’t sell artwork that is printed crooked. It’s simply not good enough and has been a huge setback for me. If I get a response to this I DO NOT want a copy paste troubleshooting page. I need real help as this issue has stressed me out no end and has put a stopper in my business.

    Having the same exact issue with crooked jagged printing lines, also running a business and experience this same thing tried everything mentioned on the copy and paste pages my HP 7855 is not even 2 months old. Wasted my ink and paper and time. Did you ever find a solution to this problem?

    Why do one need hp smart. If one can connect the printer with the pc through a usb cable ....why can't I do everything with it? There should have been a button on the panel from where one could print an allignment page.

    Can someone please help me. So, I just did a factory reset of my HP Office Jet Pro 8020 Printer. And naturally it tuned off and then I turned it on. Once I did that, a prompt appeared saying that I need to continue to printer head alignment. I clicked on 'continue'. Now for the past 3 hours, it is the following prompt - " Printing the Alignment Page" , and nothing has happened. I have followed the above video as well and it is still not working. Kindly do the following: 1) Turn on the printer, if it is not already on. 2) Wait until the printer is idle and silent. 3) With the printer turned on, unplug the power cord from the printer & wall. 4) Press the power button for 30 seconds. 5) Wait for 60 seconds. 6) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not to a surge protector. 5) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on. Note: To make sure the power source functions correctly, make sure the printer is plugged into an electrical outlet and not a power strip or surge suppressor. Let me know! Regards, HP Support

    I have an HP office jet 8030 and I get alignment issue problems. It won't scan it properly says it fails but the software says it's A-line properly. I'm still getting lines in my print pictures. And i followed all the steps in the link provided. Had this 6 months 300 bucks for half working printer

    @@HPSupport maybe you misunderstood because I didn't get a printer alignment error, my printer door doesn't close properly but it still functions well but if a paper doesn't lie totally flat on the copies it will not copy fully. Do you understand now? Thank you.

    My alignment page is not even printing. It BARELY prints the text at the bottom. I can’t scan a page that has almost nothing on it. This is ridiculous. Do not buy the Office Jet 8025e. I even changed out the cartridges out and it’s doing the same thing. Ridiculous.

    This video didn't solve my problem. Using Paper perfectly straight and not crinkled to print an Alignment paper then scan Alignment paper solved my problem.

    This is useless. Common Sense. What I need is to know how to override the printer alignment on my printer. It keeps saying this and is eating through ink. There is some override feature, at least with a similar model to mine. I have 8500 A Plus. I have also replaced printheads and then discovered they appear to be fine. I am at my wits end with this printer. Apparently it is time to dump it and start over.

    +denverdeana I'm afraid that's a default printer function to ensure the ink cartridges do not dry out and continues to work properly, hence it cannot be bypassed as such.

    You purposely misalign printed and scanned documents, I'm pretty sure of that! You do that so we waste your precious expensive ink doing that wasteful alignment procedure! And I'm pretty sure there are better and more automated ways your system can align copies without wasting ink!

    @@HPSupport If you would read the second line in my post you would realize that where you sent me with that link will not work. Tell how to do things like 'align cartridges' without having printer software installed. On the 'all in one' printers there is a three button keypad on the display. I have an older (very old! c4200) HP printer that has harder to find cartridges available, but with a simple search, I was able to find the way to do this. This is not the case with the c4650. I purchased a envy 5055 and that doesn't seem to stay operational (power keeps shutting off). There is a fix for it, but only temporarily for that print job and it immediately reverts to it's power off condition. Reinstalling the same HP cartridges does not seem to initiate an alignment. I would really like to know what the keypad instructions are.
