Right! I just got done doing the wall stretch and looked at my foam roller and pulled up this video to see what will help my Achilles 😫🙄🙄
Awesome doc! I’ve been jumping rope for a while now and my Achilles pain is no more 😊
This is exactly my problem and it's been chronic since about 2003! This is the first insightful piece of advice I've received from anyone, including clinicians or serious athletes who have rehabbed from Achilles tendon injury. I'll start tomorrow. I really miss sprinting, running stairs and jumping. I hope this works.

@@idontmisscam6907 Many thanks! Yes, this aggravating achilles tendonitis problem is under control, and very rarely, for maybe a few hours, feels tight again. Several times a week at the gym, I sit in an "ass-to-grass" position, no shoes, just socks. Because of the lack of mobility in the ankles and Achilles, I take a large size 15lb plate and hold it out in front of me with my elbows resting on my knees. Sometimes I have my elbows inside my knees pushing out. I'm up to 10 minutes now in that position. You only need to do it once 2-3 times a week. That's the rehab that's worked the best. By the way, it's a very mentally intensive exercise. My focus the whole time is entirely on my breath.

The seated calf machine has helped me a lot with this. You can obviously load it very easily and do slow negatives.
I wish I could hug you right now!!!! Thank you so much In so sick of this pain when jump roping. Changed shoes, orthotics, etc still nothing. I need this to strengthen my Achilles and calves so THANK YOU!!!!
Could you maybe make a video about anterior knee pain, especially while squatting? Thx so much and i really appreciate your videos!

That might be caused by having the knee to far out
I’ve had this pain for a while now. I started doing the peloton bike classes and my Achilles is much better. After about 50 days of riding, I jogged a couple miles for the first time in years. This video leads me to believe I stumbled across an exercise that helped in my rehab. I use my calves a lot biking but with less impact - kind of like a weighted calf raise. 🤔
Research has also shown that taking collagen peptides while training leads to a much stronger and thicker achilles tendon!

Just starting this routine now. Noticed instability and a *significant* difference in strength in my right calf (the problem child) when doing the weight work. Yer doin God's work my dude
For me the pain goes away after I get warmed up and doesn’t really come back until the day after. Like it just flares up after activity but I feel totally fine during it.
Thank you bro I'm going to start doing this today. I really appreciate your content thank you for the invaluable information 🙏.
How many sets and reps would you recommend for isometrics and heavy slow resistance?
When he said "there is a 3 stage approach", I thought about mcgill big 3.
Is it normal to have only one of them giving you pain instead of both? I feel it every time I walk now

I don’t have pain now! But I do have bursitis lower back of heal. Would you recommend?
Dorsiflexion of ankle is what makes our Achilles tendon to tear,so do the opposing motion to heal and strengthen that ,like do skipping and plantar flexion based exercises remember never use heel while landing
Thank you!
Will try out🙏
Do you have any videos for ankle sprains that didn't heal fully? I can walk and run but it's like my body doesn't trust my foot anymore. I had a grade 2 sprain some years back
