    Excellent video, as usual, Grant! My biggest beef with V-wheels is the inability to spec the tension on the cam nuts. In the few devices I use that have v-wheels, I have them just kissing the surface they ride on such that they have no play, but no real tension, either. If the polyurethane wheel is under any compression at all, they flat-spot over time. 🙁

    I had been running my Neptune 3 Pro for a long while constantly. I print mostly functional items for myself and having it down really started to hurt. I went to adjust the V Wheels and some of them were completely off with one of the beds Wheels completely loose. About to run a test print but hopefully this fixes it!

    Great video man. I am using ender 3 s1 pro and the v wheels on the sides of the Z-axis are imbalanced, meaning that when I adjust the eccentric nut 2/3 are rolling as they should be but the other is not moving at all. Any ideas?

    you should only have 1 eccentric nut per side. But your Z may not be level

    @dougskucas5004 I had the same issue with my Ender3 s-1. You need to loosen the nuts connecting the pom wheel frame to the gantry, first. Then adjust the eccentric nut so ALL 3 wheels have the same tension, then re-tighten the frame mounting nuts. Do it on both sides. There are two screws on the right side, and only one on the X motor side. This ensures even contact on all 3 wheels. I had massive improvement after doing it that way.

    Just curious, but when I move either my X axis or Y axis, it is kind of noisy and and actual print is noisy too. I checked both the v wheels and the belts and seem okay to me. Just wondering what you would siggest to get rid of the noise. I don't believe this has anything to do with the steppers as this happens when the steppers are not actually working and I have a 32-bit board. I have a ender 3 pro with belt tensioners and dual lead screws.

  • @3DMusketeers

    Take the belt off and move the carriage by hand. If it's still noisy it's time to change bearings.

    @@craftsmanchris7 it was my mistake when I install it back. There are two eccentric nuts on the Y carriage and 1 eccentric nut on the x axis. I installed three eccentric nuts on the x axis. Noob.

    Is the wear on your x axis normal? Like how many hours got you there!? I’m maybe 24-48 hrs print time and I am seeing this… out of the both ended 3 v3 se

  • @3DMusketeers

    likely too tight then. It should not show for quite some time. The wear you see on ours is from actually making the video ha ha! But yeah, if it is grooving and such already definitely re check the tensions of the wheels

    I am having troubles where I loosen by a fraction of a movement and it loosens 2 other wheels, and those 2 cant be adjusted, theyre as tightly screwed as can be and loose at the same time, loosening them doesnt do anything

  • @3DMusketeers

    @3DMusketeers

    Жыл бұрын

    yeah the one that you can tighten is on an eccentric nut, as you spin it, it will get tighter and looser as it is off center. This is normal :)

    You should get some feeler gauges so you can say exactly what is right

  • @3DMusketeers

    @3DMusketeers

    7 ай бұрын

    It would not matter actually as some setups want more, others want less. The tolerances of your extrusions would come to play. We have a set, and hilariously it was off camera as the feeler gauge approach was my plan, but we found the rail had a twist in it and that using gauges would not matter.. With that being said, if you want to try, the 0.1mm should be fine, but note, the POM wheels are softer than the metal, they are likely to deform.
